Conservative supports genocide
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 09:51 PM by _Jumper_
Michael Savage said that God was helping us by killing 60,000 innocent people(he was talking about the earthquake in Iran).

He then said that instead of aid, we should send them blankets with small pox. He then said that innocent civlians will have to be killed to get all the terrorists.

11. He has the right to SAY it. He is paid to say it to millions because it

is popular with a segment of society that is affluent enough to make it worth advertisers' time.

6. Yes, he is,
and remember he's the one who called the deaths of teenagers and young adults in the inner city "useful" since it rids the country of "ghetto slime."

I don't know what "God" he's talking about, but it sure ain't my God. Maybe someone should send HIM to Iran.

7. Did he really say that? He should be run out of my MY country.
Can't people put them selfs in others place. Has he any thoughts to what the world thinks of us running around killing children and women and saying it is for freedom and now he thinks people in Iran need to die more? No wonder the world hates our govt and leaders.

10. And yet, they probably claim to be
"Christians" too, I'll bet. Don't these idiots realize that that's what many in the world said about the innocent victims of 9/11, that God was "wreaking vengeance" on us for our "wicked" ways?

16. I am completely convinced that the sociopathic personality type is
drawn to the Republican Party. That's where they congregate. They have no empathy, and little conscience. And now they are running our country!

15. He Also Said, Tonight,...
that there is no such thing as hunger in America. It is a lie and all the homeless people are fat from everyone giving them too many sandwiches. It was some of the most disgusting tripe I have ever heard or thought I would hear outside of fiction. At least they tried to give us a token moderate here or there to maintain an air of balance, but today it is hard to turn on the radio. I can't say what it is, but something needs to be done about AM radio. It is non-stop, wall-to-wall, around the clock Winger rhetoric. They say whatever they want, damn the truth, and are never called on it. It is demoralizing.

talk show hacks for wishing other people dead. I dunno wouldn't it come under death threats or something like that? This is really cruel to even think this let alone say it over the radio.

Right now, the right-wing is scolding us for being angry, and hating Bush, and they spew venom like this? These people are seriously deranged.

21. that's one of the most horrible things I've ever heard.
Why do we allow this? Why don't we run this fuckwad out of town on a rail? Whatever happened to tar and feathers?

Seriously. Somebody needs to punch this guy's lights out. Knock out his teeth. Cut out his tongue. And hang him, tarred and feathered and still alive, from a tree.

22. Mirror Image Mullahs, Salman Rushdie, And the Savage Weiner
So Michael Savage said we should send smallpox-laden blankets to the suffering victims of Bam? Sounds like someone is bent on making clear beyond all reasonable doubt that the number one outlaw nation should be the United States of America.

Also, has anyone else noticed just how much Iran's hard-line theocrats resemble their "social conservative" and Religious Right counterparts here in the US? And that they seem to leave each other alone while going after moderates and voices of sanity?

I'll bet that the hard line Iranian Islamic foundation that has a price on Salman Rushdie's head will keep the bounty on Rushdie's head while giving the likes of the Savage Weiner a free pass.

23. Savage & Coulter are both very disturbed individuals...
Edited on Wed Dec-31-03 07:56 AM by alg0912
I mentioned Coulter because Savage's comments are akin to Coulter's statement shortly after 9-11 about killing Muslim leaders and converting their followers to Christianity. Only a sliver of the population here in America agrees with them.

That said, Savage's comments can be construed, with relative ease, as hate speech (hate speech, as defined by http://www.unc.edu/courses/pre2000fall/law357c/cyberprojects/spring99/project_hate/home2.htm is extremely offensive personal insults and characterizations that are directed against an individual's or group's race, religion, ethnic origin, gender, or sexual preference, and which may incite violence, hatred, or discrimination).

Promoting that harm be done to a group because of their race and/or religion is against the law, isn't it? As much as I believe in the first amendment, his statements cross a line.

25. What were his thoughts on the "mass graves"?
If he talked about how the mass graves were so horrible and a good reason to invade Iraq, then how can he feel that tens of thousands dead just a little to the east is a good thing?

Yeah, yeah, I know, he's a hypocrite, and a genocidal asshole at that.

Blankets with small pox? Didn't we do that one already?
