About the draft
Can girls in any way be drafted? I am almost 18, so by the time they would start that baby up again I would be of age for sure. Most of my guy friends will be leaving me then. *sigh*. I was just wondering since this is a modern sort of war, if in any way they would change things to draft girls? and what sorts of things, should it happen, would they be forced to do? *shiver* im scared guys. this bites.

2. Your
sig line indicates that you are 13. You need to be 18 years old to be drafted. If the perpetual war drags on for so long that they NEED you in several years....then probably.

5. Everybody goes from 18 to 25
If you have a special skill that the military projects will be needed, i.e., doctors, computer techs, whatever, you will have to register as well and be called up as your specialty becomes necessary. It sucks for everybody this time, which is why we have to make sure the Dems win this time.

8. That's what i tell folks
This isnt an election just for the democrats. Or party leaders. Or whatever faction or special interest group. This is for America. For the world. For our future. I never expected that this fight in 2004 would come to mean so much.

10. sweetie, they've never drafted women before but don't count it
out. I read that they are going to have all doctors and nurses between the ages of 24 and 40 register for the draft. I am sure
that they would have few scruples about drafting women. You are
young enough that we will either have this settled or the world
will be over by the time you are eighteen.

However, as the aunt of four draft bait young ones, I am treating
this election like it is life or death. For my family, it is.

11. to answer the second part, I doubt combat is part of the equation
for girls but remember, in modern warfare, there are no safe
places. The front lines will be everywhere. Ask Jessica Lynch.
She was a truck driver. Tell everyone these are the stakes in
this election.
