Prof. Jim Fetzer, U. Minn, and Wellstone assassination

is anyone here familiar with Jim Fetzer? I saw him on tv this morning...democracy now, I think.

anyway, interesting web sites here for a man who, without a doubt, cannot be called uneducated, and he has been honored repeatedly for his work in cognitive science.

I've just been looking at these sites, but wanted to share them here...no doubt many DUers already know of this man...but for those (like me) who don't...here are some links related to his interests in both the JFK assassination and the conspiracy to cover up the facts, and his investigation into Wellstone's death.

Fetzer seems to believe beyond a doubt that Wellstone was murdered.

I don't know about Jim Fetzer; did you 'google' his name?

However, I also believe beyond a doubt that Wellstone was murdered.

He was a wonderful man in politics...apparently that is intolerable to the thugocracy.

2. what about these facts

1) The pilot was overtired from having just finished a shift at another job.
2) The pilot almost caused a crash through error previously (with Wellsone on board).
3) The navigation system from the landing site was limited.

3. good to hear different povs

on the Wellstone crash and other issues as well.

I don't know, but I am interested in reading what the guy has to say before I discount him.

he was on free speech tv, not democracy now.

anyway, on that program he said he thought the Wellstone crash was a refinement on the Missouri moment that caused that state to vote for a dead man before they would vote for Ashcroft.

...I guess that's what Ashcroft means when he says that "god shuts one door and opens another" in his career...

4. I don't think this guy is very credible

he says there were like 9 - 12 shots in the jfk assassination, which is just rediculous. I think there was a conspiracy, but that is just stupid.

I also was suspicious about Wellstone, but this guy might not be the most objective guy in the world

5. It's all good until....

For me, the instant I hear "EMP Weapon" I tend to switch off...
Although I can see what you are getting at, and I know it's possible, in talking about the possibility of foul-play contributing to Wellstone's death, we must be careful that we don't start to sound like people who believe that they are the son of god, and that they were told this after being visited by aliens and taken up on their ship and eaten cookies while they spoke to god and so on and so forth...
I'm not entirely familiar with Jim Fetzer, in fact, until about 20 minutes ago I had never even heard of him until I opened up this topic and visited the websites listed above. It seems I'm much more of a broad-minded person than I thought, mainly because I didn't instantly label him a lunatic. But when people start trying to convince people of the obvious, ie the fact that the GOP are anything but a "Grand Old Party" and are plain evil rich bigots, and then we start talking about EMP Weapons...
We might as well save us the trouble and shoot ourselves instead of going out and pounding the pavements telling people about the evil GOP bastards and their Democrat killing EMP Weapons, because it's not going to help.

8. I spoke with 7 DUers from Minnesota,

all of whom were supporters of Wellstone.

They each said there was an initial report of the crash that appeared on local t.v. once.

After that, all facts were changed; networks picked up the new facts as did the wire services and the local tv stations.

NO ONE believes this was an accident.

You can ridicule it all you want; it just depends on how willing you are to face what people in power will do when they feel threatened.
