Not exactly
They will say that why are we questioning them now that we have removed this, Evil, Evil man from power?

We need to respond - if we invaded Iraq to remove Saddam from power, why not all the other brutal regimes around the world.

Heck, if we invade China, that will certainly cow the rest of the world in to line and they certainly won't repress Tibet or the Falun Gong movement anymore. Certainly, they need to be freed from their repressive regime and WMD.

3. we have to remind everyone
that Saddam is/was not the key factor in this "war on terrorism". Saddam was Bush's focus--he did not attack the World Trade Center and it is highly unlikely Iraq would have attacked the US directly (my opinion).

also, the capture of Saddam is a boon for the prosecution of crimes against humanity, but does not change the fact that Iraqi society is still struggling to create a successful post-Saddam infrastructure. US intentions and plans in forming the new Iraq are still pretty vague. Yes, it is a good thing that Saddam was caught and I truly hope the Iraqi people are afforded democracy. This doesn't change day to day operations in Iraq.

finally does any one else see the irony of the big bad US catching an old man in a dirt hole? this is the man who was calculating an attack on the US? the biggest threat to US security, and he can't even protect himself? I don't know, it just seems kinda pathetic. on both sides.

4. Never ask questions--make statements
You: "It took 150 billion dollars, 150 thousand soldiers and 8 months to catch one man in a country we controlled. How many more victories like this do you think we can afford?"

or

You: "It took 150 billion dollars, 150 thousand soldiers and 8 months to catch one man in a country we controlled. And tha bombings and the attacks go on regardless. Doesn't anyone in your administration have a clue how to fight this war?"

or

You: "It took 150 billion dollars, 150 thousand soldiers and 8 months to catch one man in a country we controlled. How much more do you figure it's going to cost to catch OBL?"

or

You: "It took 150 billion dollars, 150 thousand soldiers and 8 months to catch one man in a country we controlled. Now you want to start building new atomic bombs. Why? Weren't we already spending enough?"

or

You: "It took 150 billion dollars, 150 thousand soldiers and 8 months to catch one man in a country we controlled. Now you're talking about Iran and Syria. How do you plan on doing that? Starting up the draft again?"

See? Its like a game. You win with offense, not defense. Saddam isn't the game ball, he's a penalty flag. It all depends on how you play it.
