I can imagine the arguments. Lessee..

The Iraqis will not have to live under the shadow of fear that he will come back after we leave Iraq. He murdered 61000 people in Baghdad alone.

The battle of will has been won. We prevailed even though so many said he would never get captured.

The Iraqis are cheering in the streets.(well some anyway. Those in his hometown of Tikrit are VERY sad and downcast.)

If sadaam can hide in a whole in the ground for months, so can the WMDS

Do any of the other nomines have the WILL to complete a hard, impossible task?

.....

It doesn't change the fact that we should have gone to IRAQ in the FIRST place. But it does look good for *.

3. will hurt chimpy
if he dont pull out troops (will show its wasnt about saddam)
if the iraqis/forgieners up the ante are inspired by ousting of sadam to oust bremmer
and it cant be saddam loyalists carrying out attacks for him
Americans still come home maimed or dead
It will take awhile for press to realise this becuase they will be praising his holy emperor bush for a couple of weaks

4. depends
If he proves that there were no WMD and guerilla attacks continue it will hurt bush a lot.

If the attacks immediately stop and then WMD are found it will help.

Either way it won't matter. We're just watching history repeat itself.

6. No way will the attacks stop
The guys that are attacking are largely osama's crowd. They don't give a damn about Sadaam. They just want to create mayhem and get US out.

BUt hte argument that worries me is the point that if Sadaam can hide in the ground for months, so can Osama and so can WMDS. An apparent free pass. Lt's hope it don't go there..

9. He will get a huge jingoistic jolt in the polls

It matters not that this war was based on lies for truth is the first causality of war. The Halliburton thief of overcharging the American taxpayer will be forgiven and more importantly forgotten.
The outing of a CIA agent has already been Forgotten. I’m happy Saddam is gone of course. Is the world safer? No, we are talking about a famous house hold name tyrant who posed no freaking threat to anyone.

10. I agree that it will help a lot
I'm sure he's going to give a big cowboy speech tonight that will win a lot of people over.

But we have to remember that Bush Sr's approval rating was 91% at one point and we beat him.

Stay positive. 11 months away. A lot could happen in that time.
