War of the Black Photo-Ops
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 07:17 PM by slinkerwink

This is what an endorsement in Virginia is supposed to look like. Please----can we just stop with the photo ops? </sarcasm>

Oh, this is also what an endorsement in Harlem looks like. Both Harlem and Virginia are bastions of the black community.

It's totally pointless to use "photo-ops" to show that your candidate has "black" support. We're no better than racists if we do this.

3. Be honest.
I agree these threads are silly and petty, but it was started by a Dean supporter. Yet you reference a Clark supporters post. :eyes:

here is the first 'black-photo-op' thread.

5. this thread is talking about endorsements by black congressmen
and how ridiculous it is to compare the two.

8. Lalalala I can't hear you?
here is what you said:

"It's totally pointless to use "photo-ops" to show that your candidate has "black" support. We're no better than racists if we do this."

I respond by showing you a thread that started this little photo war which is a picture purporting to black support for Dean. It is not exactly a 'photo-op' in the original thread but it is what spurred this lil' war. I don't see how it is ridiculous to compare the two.

Anyway, enough of that.

Cheers,
TWL

15. 'Scuse me, but that was in response to Snotty Charlie Rangel
and his cheap ass swipe at Dean's visit to Harlem.

Do you keep up with these things?

6. Who said anything about a war. . .
. . .both candidates (Dean and Clark) went to Harlem to benefit from the racial symbolism. Once candidate did a more effective job than the other, its not a war. I am just comparing and contrasting, nothing wrong with that. Its only a war because a Clark supporter posted it, but when a Dean supporter posted a pic calling out Rangel it was ok...hmmmmm

7. look at those photos
can you honestly say that only one candidate did a more effective job when it looks like TWO of them can draw a "black" crowd?

10. As it relates to Harlem yes. . .
. . .if you notice my thread it refered to Harlem not Virginia or SC but Harlem. This was more directed to what happened in Harlem, nothing more nothing less.

13. the fact remains that before the leak of the gore endorsement came out....
there was a fundraiser in Harlem, and they weren't prepared to deal with the media circus that came after the Gore endorsement, so that explains the low turnout.

12. Looks like Dean captures the black vote
Dean: I count 13 blacks and 3 whites: 81% black
Clark: I count 9 blacks and 3 whites: 75% black

Therefore, Dean has a firm 6% edge in the black vote.
Scientifically proven.

Next question.
