Wolf Blitzer just misstated Graham on impeachment....
He asked Dick Durbin if he agreed with Graham that Bush should be impeached. This is a deliberate mischaracterization intended to make Graham look radical. Graham supports impeachment in the form of the Nov 2004 election because the wing-nut leaders of Congress would never turn on Bush. All Graham has said, is that-under the standards of impeachment Repthugs sat for Clinton-Bush would be impeachable. It's not the same thing.

11. Durbin said he respected Graham, but that he didn't "agree" wtih him
on impeachment. (He had been suckered by Wolf's mischaracterization. I think he probably should've remembered Graham's point, though, from other similar statements.)

The point is, impeachment WOULD be considered if the GOP didn't have a lock on Congress. Everybody knows this. I'm wondering if Graham hasn't agreed (or gone ahead on his own) to put this idea out there. The rest of the pack (of Dems) have cover for their other criticisms when they deny being interested in impeachment. But even the denials get the word out there. It's not all bad.

BTW, I too noticed this trick of Wolfie's, and I was glad to see this thread addressing it. Wolf is beyond help or hope, IMO. I only watch sometimes to see the guests. I also wondered about the question of the day--do you think Saddam is still alive? Huh? I think maybe they don't want to ask questions that can criticize Bush* since so many recent polls have gone SO anti-Bush.*

5. Wolfie tries to play both sides.
I guess he cares more about ratings than the truth. I was disappointed with him today. Lately, I thought he had turned to corner in our favor.

6. That's O.K., Wolf, GRAHAM Scored BIG This A.M. on ALL the Circuses
When G.E. RUSSERT "confronted" him with past statement on saying that if the standard used on CLINTON is the new standard, then Shrub EASILY falls within the impeachment range.

G.E. RUSSERT was shocked and opened the way for retraction. Hahaha. Senator GRAHAM said that the reality is that Shrub will NOT be impeached because the wingnuts in charge will not apply the same standard. Hahahahahah!

He would be IDEAL for VP attack dog, and he does it cooly and quietly.

10. Wolfie misses a lot...
Today he let Sucksby Chambliss slip right past with a lie, saying something to the effect "Even Clinton said he was certain Saddam had stockpiles of WMD when he left office". Lie. The Big Dog said that in 1998, at which point he ordered a strike package to destroy them. Crucial difference.

Just like the Whore Russert letting Lon Cheney get by with saying on MTP that Iraq has "reconstituted their nuclear weapons" without clarifying did he really mean weapons or programs.

Gimme a break.

I guess it's just that the pressure of the big lights of national tv causes these guys' brains to turn to mush when the red light's on.
