Independent business files lawsuit against BC ferries union

"A first class action lawsuit is being filed today. According to Victoria lawyer Dennis Berntsen, a small fresh food operator is fed up with the illegal work stoppage. He is ready to file his court papers to sue the BC Ferry and Marine Workers Union. Berntsen says small business operators face losses in the millions of dollars because of the union's refusal to obey the law. He warns the lawsuit could extend to individual workers who aren't reporting to work."
