Question: Why Clarkies so Negative?
I was someone who really really supported Clark when he first came out. I've since come over to Dean, but still admire Clark and think he would be a damn fine president. Of course, I will absolutely vote for him if he wins the Dem nomination.

What I don't understand is why all the Clark people I read here, and the ones I talk to in real life, are such jerks when it comes to other candidates, including Dean? With a few exceptions, it seems like virtually every post I read in a Dean or Kucinich or Kerry thread, which comes from someone with a Clark signature line, is hostile, negative, and mean.

So Gore endorsed Dean. Why does this mean the Clarkies have to talk so negatively about Gore? And Dean? Yes, it's a big endorsement for Dean. And yes, it's very possible that this will solidify the non-Deanies behind Clark. And that's it. It doesn't make Gore a loser, it doesn't make him "undemocratic" or guilty of trying to "subvert the primaries".

Frankly, a lot of what I've read from the pro-Clark people today disgusts me. Let's focus on the prize here: 2004. A man named Bush. Who I hope we can all agree is the worst president ever.

4. I think you should
look into what you are saying. From what i see, just the opposite is true . I see these Dean supporters as very snotty, immature and having no respect for others. I guess you didnt watch the Florida meeting this past weekend?

8. No i didn't
I'm not involved in the process yet. I plan on getting involved after the nominee is declared.

But I'm being serious here. I was actually talking to a friend of mine who's a Clark meetup director or something like that, and he acknowledged a similar problem.

Clark has a helluva lot going for him, but what you see and hear most from his supporters is not necessarily pro-clark as it is anti-dean. "unelectable", "arrogant", etc.

5. I think you see...
what you want to see.

As a "Clarkie" I think the OTHER candidate's supporters tend to be over-the-top. We ALL support our own candidates. You notice the "Clarkies", and I notice the "Deanies". (I don't like those terms, which is why I put them in quotes).

It's all a matter of perspective.

6. You just cannot make a blanket statement like that
I support Dean but the majority of Clark supporters are polite and enthusiastic about a candidate they believe in. A few in *every* camps are jerks and there's nothing to be done about it but to encourage civility.

Your statements are neither fair nor accurate.
