1. Gore was on the outside looking in. Now, as Dean's fortunes go, so go his

6. The Dean is attracting Beans to his HILL. Gore, who is not dumb,
and not blind, could see this was his chance to spend what capital he got, by joining forces. Its a symbiotic move perhaps, time will tell.

This sends a message to the others, join now look good, join later, look like Johnny come late.

Each of the other candidates got only a few hours to hash this out.
No doubt the cell phones are hot tonight. A decision must be made. If the notion of the COMMON GOOD comes to the fore, the others will join Gore. The Pubs will have an apolexy for sure. Us Dems will not have to witness anymore infighting. Joe should be be one of the first to join Gore with an indorsement for Dean. The others will surely follow.

Come, bring your coffee, this one is going to be HOT

After all, who needs democracy in the Democratic party?

13. Well, we can have 1 winner and 8 losers, but better to have 9 winners
This would kill the infighting and the Pubs at the same time. Its a 2 fer.

15. Not particuarily nice
Some of us don't care too much for Dean. He's around the middle of my lists - I know some Clarxists have him higher, and some lower.

It's incredibly insulting to be told "Well, it's time for you to give up on your candidate now." It is doubly so when the primaries have not even started yet.

Be gracious with your guy's acheivement, rather than slapping the rest of us in the face with it.

19. Come on now
you know the deanies would have been so gracious if the 'endorsement' was for say, Clark, or heavens forbid, Kucinich!

Is Gore the equivalent fat lady or something?
Funny, i remember his name brought up here as a candidate 04, met with 'loser...get over it..' and now, are those that fully supported a Gore run 04 now supposed to run like lemmings to the cliff?

call me a cynic, but this may be the albatross, or political judas kiss rather than the indictment of a sure victory. The warning was out already of an early peak and then, fizzle.

as long as the last 3 years have been, it's still a loooong road to next Nov.

and i want my vote to count this time.

I was just suggesting an over top move to reconcile diffs and dramatically come together in the manner described.

Take a look at DU and see if the Dems are "yawning".

No few of them just creamed their jeans.

Yeah, as long as Dean doesn't suddenly have a cute intern disappear mysteriously, everything from now until the convention is cosmetic. Dean vs. Bush in '04 it is.

Think Lieberman is making an Al Gore voodoo doll right about now?

10. Theyre scared and its showing.
I think the realization that the Dems are coming and they are united is a frightening reality . I have not seen the Dems this intent on winning an election since...well, Ive never seen them this fired up. We win easily in 2004. Landslide. The middle class is not an extremist right wing bunch and this is what the Bushites are.
