Are they fudging casualty figures? Duh!
Seems that being injured by a booby trap in Iraq is now a "non combat" wound - not up for a purple heart, and not reported as war wounds. Lovely.

Anything to make it seem like it's all peaches and cream for our sitting duck troops. There have been hundreds of "non combat" deaths. Wonder what those were all about. Does anyone care? Media isn't saying a word.

Here's the story, along with a whole lot of others re Iraq - given short shrift by the mainstream media. Think why. Duh!

2. It's all duckies and bunnies
Rumsfeld is hoping most Americans are by now hooked on Prozac, Paxil and Xanax.

3. Prozac not needed
Karl Rove has the press in tow, - and that's keeping the information from reaching the great unclued. The news is all peaches and cream. The report of any soldier's death appears about five minutes into other news, and is never given in any detail. It's almost like the weather report. We're no longer hearing about the suicides, either. Not a clue as to the total numbers of wounded.....and not a single reference to the huge numbers of Iraqi deaths. It's all geared to an election strategy - and the dem candidates are totally ignoring this as well.

Strange. But expected.

4. That's really infuriating. And it will get almost no press
The war is still profitable, after all.

5. more than in furiating.... and more than profitable
Keeping the news out of the public eye and ear is a campaign ploy - which will work unless more people are directed to Internet news. An uninformed electorate will elect Bush. Rove knows that. So do the media whose interests are corporate and narrow.
