Questions for Chrissy Gephardt?
I'm interviewing her tomorrow morning. Feel free to post questions here - I don't know how much time I'll have with her.

I've been writing an editorial column for a long time - but an interview is a walk on the wild side for me. The column has become confining, at times. Wish me luck - and leave me good questions!

thanks everyone!

1. I'd like to know if her parents
were always supportive of her sexual orientation. It must have been difficult to grow up the daughter of a politician. Did she hide it? Was she encouraged to hide it? Or was she encouraged to be herself? I know she is out now, but would like to know if this was the case early on, and if her parents relayed to her the feeling that her sexual orientation could hurt her father's chances for higher office.

4. thanks Pink Tiger
She was married at 24 - and didn't come out to her folks until her marriage was breaking up. That much I already know. ;-)

8. What are her thoughts about her dad & why he'd make a good President?
I tried to add "Please" but the headline won't allow space. Thanks!

15. What do your brother and sister
feel about him telling such personal stories about them on the campaign trail? I am referring to his stories about his son's battle with cancer and his daughter's inability to pay her bills due to her career choice. While I understand what he is doing I do find it somewhat exploitive.

17. how about
What do you and your Father plan on doing about the way corporations are taking over government and media? Is their anyway we can fight this trend of falling wages, Union busting and privatization of traditionally not for profit social programs, which can all be traced to the corporatism of America.
or maybe
Should we allow the WTO to dictate to us?

good luck with your interview

18. An important question for Chrissy...
Please ask Chrissy Gephardt what she thinks the chances are that the Federal Marriage Amendment will pass, and more importantly, ask her what we (activists) can do to preemptively stop it from being passed by Congress?

Ask her, *off-the-record*, if she knows any high-profile liberal U.S. Senators whom she can lobby to filibuster it and filibuster it HARD.

21. Ask her how it feels to have a hero for a father?
Gephardt, along with Kucinich, is one of the few Democrats who actually voted AGAINST the GOP-friendly NAFTA and the other corporate trade agreements.
