A fair fight- ballot access laws
We're currently undergoing a drive in NC to get 10000 signatures so that Howard Dean can be on the primary ballot in NC. One reason for this thread is to ask all registered democrats in NC to please sign our petition. I'm also asking all Dean supporters in NC to please print out the form and join in the effort.

For everyone else, I ask, would you be willing to sign it as a supporter of another candidate? NC's delegates to the national convention are proportional to the primary results, so keeping Dean OFF the ballot could be politically advantageous, as insignificant as NC's primary may be. But then there's the issue of the fair fight. Can you live with yourself if you pull the traditionally republican tactic of trying to keep well intentioned people from choosing their candidate?

I've had registered democrats refuse to sign my petition. It bothers me, but it's their choice. I don't argue or press, but I would like to know what people think about it.

Petitions can be printed from http://www.nc4dean.org
