I came to realize that from reading his "Minority Report" columns in The Nation even before he switched to praising the neocons. But at least then, he was a little more palatable, and would say things a little more frequently that would make you take pause and think.

Now, he just ends up running in complete circles with such ferocity that he simply ends up where he started from, but completely out of breath. He's a self-promoter (and troublemaker) before all else, and I guess he figures that he can make the biggest name for himself from where he currently sits.

but what he said this morning agrees with EVERYTHING the Bush administration tries to foist on the public...positive Iraq situation, "so-called resistance fighters", I/P can only be successful with Bush re-elect, etc.

Maybe it's in his interests to be a Bush apologist, but that's the person I listened to.

Hitchens was sounding very supportive of Bush as well as using the Repuke terms for the Iraqi combatants. Ali called him on it too.
