Bush and his being a Christian is sort of
unreal to me. I know most people who call themselves Christians attend a Church service at least once a year(many people here go on Easter Sunday)but when does this higly praised Christian man attend church services? Does he have a minister as a personal spiritual adviser and if so who is it? I have not read nor heard that he has attended any services while in Washington or Texas. I have not heard this Devout Christian man ever utter a scripural thought from the Christian book, the Bible. I know this is supposed to be a personal thing but I would think that surely he would want to be seen at a Church for a photop. Enquiring mind just want to know.

1. He dares not to utter anything Bibical for fear of misquoting Scriptures
like the "Fool me once, er, shame , er, shame on, er, shame on you, er.." thingy of last year.

He does not read anything beyond childrens books, even the newspapers are read to him. The teleprompter? It gives him fits.

We got a LOLO on our hands

5. Actually, I believe he is mad at the Methodists so he is shunning them
The Methodist bishops pleaded with Bush not to invade Iraq. I don't think they considered his actions Christian.

In fact, they condemned his actions. Last I heard, he was going to Poppy's church. Episcopalian. More openminded about harboring serpents in their midst, I guess.

3. "Aw, she doesn't want to die!" Bush mocked
of a woman who was about to be executed and pleaded for clemency. He is not a Christian any more than the Pope is an Unitarian.

4. I know he hasn't attended the church of his denomination in Crawford
Edited on Tue Dec-02-03 11:06 PM by proud patriot
Before the invasion the Pastor of the Crawford
church was complaining that he invited the Bush
Family to the Church but they haven't attended .

I personally only remember the memorial after 911 .
his family was in a church the one day .

Is there any proof that he attends church services anywhere?

6. He quoted the Bible
once, as far as I know and THAT is how he became known as a "Christian Man."

During his campaign, he was giving a speech and quoted some "common" phrase from the Bible...like..."Judge not, lest ye be judged" some phrase that EVERYONE uses. After that particular speech, KKK Rove was beseiged by phone calls from the Christian Coalition/Christian RWers who told him..."THAT is how you will win the Christian/religious vote! He must continue to present himself as a "Christian man."
Soon thereafter, the shrub went to Bob Jones University and the rest is history. The man is a fraud. He's no Christian.

8. Is there any way of finding out
if and where he may have attended Church services since becoming President? I would think that they would want this to be public knowledge wouldn't they?

9. I believe Bush does quote out of the bible
but he does it at religious meetings or lunches. He knows he can't do it publicly from the White House. Nor should he.

He would do us all a favor if he spared us his bible quotes. Trust me, I would rather listen to a homeless person reading scriptures for me, or even a streetcorner evangelist with his misguided ideas. At least he's got no axe to grind.

Bush, however, wears his religion like a well-pressed suit. He puts it on and takes it off whenever he wants to.

I remember Bush talking about the Al-Qaida and the Taliban as "evil men hijacking a religion,, using it for their own evil purposes". I wondered about Bush when I read that.
