Martin Luther King said that people should be judged on the content of their character, not their skin color, and I take him at his word.

Sharpton has performed well in the debates. But given his history, he is not to be trusted, and he is not to be rewarded with a position of responsibility or authority.

You people don't have a clue as to who is on DU... nor how your unvarnished ignorance is affecting a lot of people! This is a critical time in this country, and people are looking for commonalities that will bridge the gap between themselves and others. However, when they (myself included) read this crapola (always defended as honest criticism), it becomes apparent that there will always be a them and an us, even during times of crisis.

No amount of "enlightening", sensitizing, or dialogue will change those who look in the mirror and see a swan, when other swans look at them & see a vulture.
