Link or coincidence? JFK assassination and BushCorp

So, I went out yesterday and bought the director's cut of Oliver Stone's "JFK". (Yeah, yeah -- I know all about Stone's blurring of the lines between Hollywood and reality.)

Anyway, while I was watching the movie, something Garrison (Costner) said caught my attention: in the middle of his closing statement to the jury, Garrison mentions a billion-dollar contract that LBJ awarded to Brown & Root to dredge Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam.

Brown & Root. Is this company what we now know as Kellogg Brown & Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton? If so, what do people know about these kinds of contracts during Vietnam? How many board members from the Vietnam era are still at KBR and/or Halliburton? Does anyone know what, if any, relation Cheney had to Brown & Root at the time?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I would appreciate if people could comment on this.

4. Remember Permindex?

The firm said to have served as a CIA-money laundering operation, with Clay Shaw on the board? Principal financiers included Halliburton, Brown and Root (acquired by Halliburton in 1963), HL Hunt, Clint Murcheson and a number of munitions manufacturers.

Permindex's founding board also included such fascists, gangsters and intelligence assets as Roy Cohn, Joseph Bonanno, Ferenc Nagy, Count Guitierez di Spadafora, Louis Bloomfield and Giuseppe Zigiotti.

The Bush family has a long history with Halliburton and many of the same characters behind Permindex.

George W and Dick are just the latest chapters in an old story.
