The stupidity of conservatives never ceases to amaze me, as well as that of the media (and the majority of the American people, come to think of it). And to MY way of thinking, no-one has got this trip right yet.

Thus far, the focus has been on the secrecy surrounding the trip, the choice of Fox News to accompany the president, (which pretty much sums up his credibility level when he chooses the television equivalent of the National Enquirer to assist him in his chicanery). The focus has also been on whether or not it was a wise decision for the president to make (what? Like wisdom has been a staple of this administration thus far?)

Basham has it spot on right all the way down the line. If the situation in Iraq is a lot rosier and sunnier than those bad boys and girls in the media make it out to be, why didn't Bunnypants go into Iraq with a brass band and appropriate ruffles and flourishes? No, he sneaked in like a thief in the night, made his campaign photo op, then sneaked out before his lackeys and lap dogs in the media were let loose to piddle all over our Thanksgiving turkeys. Or tofurkeys. Whatever.

This was not "bold." "Bold" means putting yourself at personal risk. "Bold" is being in a position where your adversary can shoot back. Call it sneaky. Call it underhanded. Call it political. But please, "bold" it is not!

I have sent it out to my buds. A thought occurred to me this morning reading another thread about georgie's great adventure and how the turkey platter photo-op was so staged. He obviously either brought the turkey platter or had it arranged and all I could think of is how many pair of clean undies the chickenshit brought along.
