Candy Man tactics of the RIGHT WING PUBs
Feed the Pub Sheep the "Candy" needed to keep um in the fold. The Pubs got jobs, money, influence, etc etc

They got the Media, the Press, the Net works, the Judges, the Pastors, the Banks, the Mil Ind Complx, and the schools.

They got a whole Corp Net work of "Peters" coming up the ranks; those who are Pubs, they get promoted faster and higher. Now they got whole Corporations going Pub. Its all "hidden" but its there.

The latest is NASCAR. The Pubs are wooing those fans too. They even tried the NFL with Rush but he fucked it all up with loose lips.

Unless the DNC gets off the dime, we gonna get lost in the shuffle.

Where is the GAME PLAN??

Who is in Charge here?

Game Plans 101?

How to Formulate a Winning GAME PLAN 101?

Hello? HELLO? Anyone driving this thing? Lights on, engine running, no one behind the wheel? WTF?

The game plan is somewhere in the anger of Dean/Clark. The systematic dismantling of the lies of our current maladministration appears to be the gameplan. Dean/Clark are behind the wheel, and unlike the Pubs, the truth is on their side - and so, increasingly, are the troops and their relatives. I believe it's time for the true contenders to emerge, the Dem candidates need to narrow the field now so that positions can be clarified. This administration has been given all the rope it needs to hang itself, it has hung itself, now we need to provide the alternative. If we fail now, when the President is decidedly at his lowest point, we will have done our country a disservice.

2. I luv this response. It makes sense and its hopeful.
But I believe the answers must go beyond.

Somehow, the people of the Dem Party mus not wait for the Convention but start a grass roots thing to learn of the moods, feelings, concerns, etc from ea other. A system must be made available for the DEM Troopers in the trenches and those they reach to come to a concenses by learning of the Pubs Tatics(lie, cheat, steal) etc.

I think we can do it and because of our children, WE SHOULD DO IT. Its time for Sanity, Reason.

3. The Commander sneaks around like a thief in the night!
Bush looks like hell already and that's just the things he couldn't hide from public view! Shrubbbbbaaa is our first and only Stealth 'Commander in Thief', because he gets mooned when the people in other countries see him coming ahead of time! A real chimp would have served us better than Shrubbbbaaa has! A real Bozo would have been light-years ahead of what we've got today steering our ship of state!

Five hundred years ago the Repubs thought the world was flat! Today they still ain't a hell of a lot smarter and if the Chimp gets another term the world might end up knocked flat! Adam to Atom and Dust to Dust makes Shrub a dull boy! Shrub is like a rabid rattlesnake ready to strike first and sort out the Bushit later, much later!

If the Democrats can't find a way to attack Shrub's record now, then they are either scared off or paid off by the almighty lobbyists! Some of the things some of our guys in congress voted for can be explained no other way IMO!

4. I can't speak for the rest of the nation...
but I will tell you that here in Nebraska, the pub's have gotten VERY quiet. There are a few exceptions, like my neighbor, whom I spend a lot of time laughing at, but even this rabid repub is mumbling rather than shouting.

The grass roots enterprise is alive and well. But the biggest problem we have, is getting people to the polls.

Just yesterday, our town paper put out the recently passed "drug bill", and the outrage is out there. I expect next weeks letters to the editor to just about set the paper on fire. My first question was how many people have to die over the next 3 years because this trash heap of a plan won't take effect till 2006? We have farmers out here in their 80's that are still working the land! I met a man whose arthritis in his hands was so bad, his knuckles looked like walnuts! Yet, everyday, he gets up with the sun and goes out into the fields. He changed his voters registration to Dem, anfter being a lifelong Pug.

The silence from the right is deafening, only the screaming banshees of gloom and doom that rule the airwaves believe that bush is anything but a ten cent bastard.

fields."

The Reich wingers want you to work till you fall dead on the job! "Arbeit Bildet Sie Frei." = "Work will set you free!"
Prescott Bush (Brown Brothers Harriman)made money off of this idea during WWII at Auschwitz!

No Bush you can name has EVER done an honest days work!

EDIT}"Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work Brings Freedom) was the sign over the gates of Auschwitz. It was placed there by Major Rudolf Hoss, commandant of the camp.

He seems not to have intended it as a mockery, nor even to have intended it literally, as a false promise that those who worked to exhaustion would eventually be released, but rather as a kind of mystical declaration that self-sacrifice in the form of endless labor does in itself bring a kind of spiritual freedom.

12. The Reich Wing Friends of Prescott Bush dealt with the old and

Nazi Euthanasia files

SNIP>
It's frequently been pointed out, and is worth saying again, that though the Nazis called what they were doing 'euthanasia', it was actually murder. Euthanasia involves the killing (or letting die) of a person because it's *in their own interests* to die - hence the phrase 'mercy killing'. The Nazis regarded those whom they supposedly 'euthanased' as a burden to society - that is, they were killed for the purported good of society, not for their own good. That's murder, not mercy killing.

Nazi’s euthanasia files are made public

The Reich wing has a better plan for us baby boomers than to give us our Social Security that we paid for all our lives out of our own paychecks! "Set Granny out in the cold tonight and things will be all better in the mornin'!"

13. And your point is well taken. How many dittohead Repugs know that no Bush
every really worked for a living or had to? Case in point...the 2000 election. What do these people know about worrying about enough money to buy a prescription drug? If it weren't for the pharmaceutal companies interests the Repugs would not even think about prescription drugs. Name the last Repug you ever heard talk about building a social service network for needy Americans. The only time any social program passes their lips and thoughts is when they are saying or thinking what to do to cut it or dismantle it altogether.

6. Even here in Hawaii its THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS time.
The Pubs are all pouty and lock jawed, nary a peep. Our new Pub Gov had promised all kinds of changes but after 11 months, nada, and the silence is, as you say, deafening.

Bush has done everything ass backwards and.or out right wrong. This Iraqi trip cost him bigtime points. He doesn't under stand, nor his staff, that in the eyes of the Iraqi Culture, the way he came and went...

IS A FREAKING INSULT TO THE IRAQI PEOPLE.

AND WORSE YET.....

MADE HIM OUT TO BE A COWARD, A WIMP OF THE WORSE KIND, AND AN INSENSITIVE ONE AT THAT.

How the neocons can be proud of this turkey can only be explained by DELUSION.

DAMN.

Come, we go find a bar.

8. Hello 101
OK, Opi, here's the Big Kahuna of the questions:

What are you doing to Fight the Right?

That's a rhetorical question, not just for Opi, but for everybody here to ask themselves. We have to stop thinking our Leaders will Lead us against the Empire. We must assume we have to go it alone.

Our Leaders are few and far-between and tied up in knots of their own. If we're going to "take our country back," we have to believe that each and every one of us is a Leader -- formulate and execute whatever little plans we can come up with.

This is exactly how the Right got into power. All that money they have wasn't doing a damn bit of good until Richard Mellon Scaife, Bob Richardson, Dick Viguerie, Bill Buckley, and their minions gave them a place to "invest" it to greatest advantage.

Early on in the Right-To-Life movement, it was expected that every RTLer would run for local offices like the School Board or the Board of County Commissioners. Many of them did, and they took over the public schools in the late 70s.

Our years of training to be good corporate drones has taught us to depend on the People At The Top. That's the hardest thing we have to "get over". The DNC won't, can't, and probably shouldn't be running the show.

Not to sound too glum, but without an attitude of autonomous leadership, it won't work.

10. I have been in this fight for a better planet for a damn long time.
But you are right, I cannot fight this alone, it has to be a collective effort.

And so I came to the Internet via the DNCs board which lasted about 11 months or so then died. I been on the DU for 2 years and 3 months. I come here to learn, to share, and to laugh/have fun/smile.

But to the prob at hand, yes, the DNC seems top heavy and perhaps a bit dis connected. They seem to have lost touch with the grass roots. I'm not sure what it is but its not looking too good.

What to do?? Thats a billion dollar question. I suppose everyone is askin the same thing, what the hell to do?

First, I feel the DNC should really have some set of qualifications before accepting people into the DEM Party as a Candidate. Yes, there is some sort of pledge to follow the charter/philosophy thingy but is that it? No wonder we have DINOs

Second, can we have a simplified version of the Dem Philosophy so we all can feel good?

Third, with re to stirring up support and winning elections, its obvious business as usual is not cutting bait. We need to do much better. and we need to do it in such a manner the Pubs cannot follow.

and finally, 4th, the support growth should be expotential or the very least, enough to win the friggen thing.

Come, we relax, we go eat/drink/smile/laugh
