We could be a GREAT Democratic Party. I might add Lieberman to that list....but couldn't think of the others....who else?

11. I second that.
I called her office to express my outrage over her Medicare sell out and told the staffer who picked up that she might as well switch parties and that real Dems in CA know a traitor when they see one.

17. Daschle's not a Bush lover...
He's just can't stand up for our agenda because he has to worry about re-election. After he gets re-elected he needs to resign as leader. Another term will give him enough seniority to not have to worry as much about re-election.

4. Baucus, Nelson (NE) . . .
Seriously, if we got rid of all of these types we'd be in the minority forever. Most Americans do not think like the average DUer. The Pukes would love your plan. Think of how we would cheer if they got rid of everyone to the left of Tom DeLay.

6. These "types" have thwarted all our efforts to "rollback Bush!" How can
you say we would be "stronger" without them. How can you say that most Democrats don't think of this. I'm not an "Average American." BUT, Democrats are HALF our population! And, of that half....I'm very much an "Average American!"

8. They are not green.
I believe they are human beings, NOT plants. For they walk and have arms that move and grasp and mouths that speak. Plants do not consist of such components!

9. Pelosi, Gore...
They're hardcore Gavin Newsom (R-San Francisco) supporters.

Why is this bad?

Newsom is a Bush ally.

Stop the Republican infiltration and vote for a true progressive.

Feinstein and Daschle. Pelosi hasn't made the list YET but she's on close watch with two strikes.

12. I think you've got the party down to about 35
in the senate...Keep rolling! Lets go for broke. Dodd has a spotty record, Kerry voted for IRC (as did Hillary). Those two in Arkansas-Blanch Lincoln and Mark Pryor are real DINO"s and need to go. Landrieu has some questionable views, and we'll lose Hollings, Graham, and Edwards. Hell, this is fun! I'm down to about 25 HARD-CORE democrats now. We need a pure party that votes correctly; only then, can we relax.

Hollings won't be missed though, so long as a Dem can take his seat.

14. Yeah
Let's get rid of them because they aren't Barbara Lee. Let's be the party of only 35 Senators, 150 House members, and 10 Governors.

What a great idea? Let's be a permanent minority because not everyone Democrat can be Maxine Waters.

15. Give me a fucking break...
We are praying for a senate majority in 2004 and you expect 49 perfect senators. I'll give you Miller but only because his support of bush and his bullshit comments about the direction he thinks that the democratic party is going in. But other than that we need to stop making a fuss everytime a senator votes Republican. They are people too you know, they have their own opinions AND elections to worry about. And don't tell me that the Republicans don't go through the same thing. Nine GOP senators voted against the medicare bill, a major part of their own party's agenda. Dick Armey condemned the Iraq war in his last year in office, making the GOP leadership look like asses. Forty-Nine senators aren't going to have the exact same opinions it will NEVER happen. If nothing else, they will be very useful when we win a senate majority by the sheer fact that they will be sitting in the caucus giving us control of the committees.

16. I have a pretty high bar for demanding one's expulsion from the party
We have always prided ourselves as a diverse party.

I will, however, hold the door open for Zell Miller to leave the party, and maybe give him a little kick in the ass.

You are advocating handing incontrovertible legislative control to the Republicans, because you refuse to accept partial control? Better to have a disaster than a slow, delayed crash? Or is this in the fairy land where all these Democrats would be replaced by leftist heroes, voted in by a rising tide of liberal thought?
