House is now beginning voting on the Medicare Prescription Drug Bill!
Edited on Fri Nov-21-03 11:27 PM by flpoljunkie
After the rule is adopted, there will be two hours of debate and then the bill will be voted on. The Rethugs love to ram bills through in the wee hours.

However, heard that there are 40 Republicans that plan to vote against this bill--unless Delay gets to them--Bush is also back from London and is calling recalcitrant House GOP members.

1. It's a procedural vote? To give time for Congresscritters to read the bil
Kucinich kicked ass in his comments, as usual, BTW. Thank God we have a guy like him in the House.

7. I agree with you.
I'd love to know how many AARP members have left over this. I bet it's a huge number. Republicans think seniors are as gullible as the general population, but as it turns out, they aren't.

3. No this is a rules vote!
It's too early in the evening. The republicans wait until at least 1AM before they pass legislation to put the screws to their constituants.

4. So far:
Pugs 221 Yay 1 Nay (who?)
Dems 0 Yay 199 Nay
Independent (Say, who could that be? Mr. Sanders) Nay.

Sigh...I'm tired of living in a divided country.

6. My guess would be Ron Paul.
If you ever see all Republicans voting one way and then one lone vote going the opposite way, it more than likely is Ron Paul.
