The LEAD stories on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC (well they were a little all over the place) was that the STORY was JACKO! ...NOT the CHIMP!
However, my noontime luch "check in" of the cables showed CNN, MSNBC, reveling in the Chimp's Downfall in London. There were jokes between Blitzer and John King (reporter at large in London) about the "imposter" who insinuated himself into the Royal Family whom the tabloid placed to show the failure of Security for Bush's Visit. That got lots of air time. They showed much footage of the London Protests (making this US Protestor against Bush really upset) but, whatever, they covered it all!
However, the "After Five" coverage Lead with Michael Jackson Wall to Wall overshadowing the Chimp, meaning if Chimp wasn't the lead....then When the Big Cat's Away the Mice Will Play!"
I think this should make us Dems feel good in one way that Chimp wasn't covered for the "After Five Alive Crowd" but also be wary that Jacko's coverage is bigger than Lacey and whatever stuff they push to the porno obsessed American Public.
What wasn't covered was the "Mutual Fund Crooks," the Limbaugh Story (except on Crossfire where Begala did us proud), and very little, but at least some coverage for the "Lunch Time Crowd" of the big "Anti-Global Demos" in Miami which looks HUGE from the limited photos which C-Span has shown while promoing but not doing a true "segment" on.
So.....much is going on in the World but JACKO REIGNS!
Just my report. What did YOU SEE TODAY....OR HEAR on RADIO?
On Edit: I might not have been clear in my post...Before 5:00 p.m. the Cables had wall to wall Chimp coverage (mostly negative) and they changed after 5:00p.m., est. to JACKO Wall to Wall all the time.
It was quite odd to observe the change in coverage. Meant to me that "Something is Up," with the media1 Definitely Negative to Bush this coverage, and I've been watching a long time how the media works.
