Fox says Twelve coalition soldiers were killed ( I don't get it?)
The military said the two helicopters belonged to the 101st Airborne Division... Which in my mind means that the soldiers were from the 101 Airborne, which means they were American. Is Faux so desparate to tow the line with the Bush Admin that they won't call these troops American?

I bet they called them Italians.

13. daily memo from Fox executives
to news "talent" on exactly how to spin the day's news.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/articles/03/11/07_fair.html

Ailes hates the establishment press because it has dismissed him as a biased political hack, not at all fair and balanced. Fox employees refer to the network as "Roger’s Revenge." Unlike respectable media which creates a wall between the journalism side and the corporate and advertising sides, Fox News top executives issue a daily electronic bulletin to all news staff, telling them what stories to cover and often telling them what to say about them. In Charlie Reina's letter, he tells how the Fox daily memo works: "If Fox anchors seem to be trying to drive a particular point home, you can bet The Memo is behind it."

From the BBC Online
Dated Saturday November 14

US helicopters crash killing 12

Two US helicopters have crashed in Iraq, killing 12 coalition soldiers and injuring nine, the US military says.
Both UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters - assigned to the 101st Airborne Division - crashed in the northern city of Mosul at about 1830 local time (1430GMT).

Now, the BBC has a much better reputation than Fox News. Indeed, it is, unlike Fox, a real news source. Yet the BBC is also calling the dead "coalition" soldiers. Perhaps there is at the moment the possibility that not all killed were Americans.

5. "The Coalition of the Willing" is perhaps Bush/media's biggest lie
Edited on Sat Nov-15-03 04:08 PM by Dr Fate
Americans supported the war effort, but most of them thought we really did have an actual "Coaltion of the Willing"...

Bush/media told us the UN was an "irrelevant" "tea-party" ran by "old Europe", and that the mighty "Coalition of the Willing" would take it's place, and have our backs. We would not be "going in alone" like those "communist" war protesters/hand-wringers claimed...

I'ts perhaps Bush/media's biggest lie to date,- why cant the "Coalition" countries of "New Europe" give us their share of the $87 BILLION???

Why cant "New Europe" troops start taking some bullets- why does ALL the suffering have to fall on the families of patriotic families who trusted Bush/media that we would not being going in alone???

The "Coalition of the Willing": a hoax and gigantic LIE brought to you by Bush/media.

Everybody we attack has "fighters". We have "soldiers". Why? Because being a soldier is an honorable thing.

14. Yes, of course
And not for the first time. Saome weeks back another report came in about "coalition" casualties, back when the powers that be first began realizing the U.S. body count was up, and climbing. They used the "coalition" bullcrap to try and hide the identity of the victims but apparently the memo didn't get out quickly enough because other networks referred to U.S. casualties.

If Italians or British or Polish troops get killed, they are identified as such. "Coalition", on the face of it, is most often just an attempt to camouflage the reality of a growing U.S. deathtoll.

You have to remember this administration has no morality, no ethics and no shame. They will do whatever they can to hide the truth, most especially when it is detrimental to their cause; the reelection of George Bush, the industrial rip-off artists' best friend.

Greed motivates his real supporters. The man-in-the-street is just another victim of ignorance and manipulated information.

21. media info
we talk amongst ourselves and disperse information that is never heard on corporate media outlets. we have no voice. we must get our voice back. even if a dem wins, we will be minus a voice. corporate media wants shoppers. corporate media is the capital industrial complex that knows that freeps want stuff, and that clean air cuts into the bottom line. we may never get our voice back. we are losing govenorships faster than ever. this is a blitzkrieg that we are losing badly. there is only one solution now. "REVOLUTION!!!"

22. Because Faux is the propganda arm of Bushevik Occupied Amerika
Boy, that was a no-brainer of a question!

Faux performs the same function for the Empire as Pravda did for the Soviet Union or Channel One (and anchorman Ronnie "Sip-Sip"--means "lap-dog") did for Marcos' Phillipines.

Good lord, does anyone expect any different from faux? They are NOT a "news" organization as we remember them from the Days of the Old Republic. Of course, none of Corporate TV Pravda fits that bill anymore.
