Have the Democrats changed from poodles to pitbulls?
Just a few months ago, many here, myself included, accused the Dems of not having a backbone and worse. But, after watching them defend themselves during this Repub charade, one has to be proud of those that are kicking Repub butts. After all, that is all that we have asked for - that they fight back and show a little backbone. And they have done it in spades. As a personal sidenote, it makes it much easier if you lose, if you go down fighting. And they are fighting. But I don't think they are going to lose. I think they and we are going to be victorius next November.

1. No, the media is just slowly moving the mike a little closer so you can
hear them bark. It's a warning to Bush. His corporate owners put him there to make them money, and he's not doing it. They're showing him they can take it all away.

And if he reforms, it sets them up nicely for covering Bush as a great comeback story next year when they start the hagiography again.

I was starting to wonder if the Democrats in DC forgot about people like us. We are worth fighting for damn it and I'm glad we're finally seeing it happen again.

12. Yup, and then they allow the Republicans to do whatever they want
Come on. Why is there no impeachment talk? What are none of them standing up and saying this war is illegal and immoral? All they ever say it that the aftermath was not well executed. Why aren't they screaming about the Iraqis we have murdered?
Why are they voting themselves raises when they know they have let us down?
Sorry, most of them are in on this charade. Blocking the judges is essential and good, but they have to get a whole lot stronger and louder than that. Bush and his cronies are DESTROYING the country yet most of the time they say publically that they agree with him....what's THAT all about?
They are not behaving like they are fighting for the life of this country.

14. There's no impeachment talk because it's stupid...
The Clinton impeachment had no merits and as far as anybody can prove the Bush impeachment would have no merit. We can be better than the Republicans and still kick ass in 2004.

7. They regrouped and stopped Estrada last winter
They immediatetly regrouped after losing Wellstone and then the '02 seats.
They've had it together pretty well since the big loss.

15. The media does not show it when DEMS fight...
...they only show DEMS when Republicans accuse them of somthing or other...

Trust me, if it were not for CSPAN, the "poodle" image would still be there.

Dollars to donuts that the media wont play the parts favorable to us on prime-time news...
