Perle: Finding Iraqi WMD may take 200 years ...... (speechless)
http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=6490

"Perle added that "we are absolutely certain" that weapons of mass destruction are hidden in Iraq - Washington's motive for launching the offensive against Baghdad - but that it may take dozens of years to find them.

"We don't know where to look for them and we never did know where to look for them," he admitted.

Asked by a reporter when he thought the evidence of those weapons may be found, Perle joked: "I hope this will take less than 200 years."

Perle is recognized as one of the main architects of Washington's campaign to launch the offensive in Iraq although he has since played down his role in hatching the war plan."

I can't believe this man has the "nads" to come out now and share this. He should share this quote in person with the familes of our fallen soldiers he put in harms way

1. Well, since he clearly has a deal with Satan
(or actually IS Satan...)

That 200-year thing won't be a problem for him.

Hmm, I can smell the whiff of sulphur just reading this article. Weird.

4. OMFG
I've been waiting for one of those outer time limits on when we can call them on their lies.

Now we know.

On July 22, in the year 2203, the history books will have permission to call the Bush* cabal a bunch of lying conquering bastards.

But not until then.

Yeah, right.

7. Unfingbelieveable!
This is the same guy who was on all the talk shows telling us that Saddam and his WMD s were an imminent threat to us?

and now he says

<snip>
Asked by a reporter when he thought the evidence of those weapons may be found, Perle joked: "I hope this will take less than 200 years."

I hope the major media pick up on this....better yet, I'd like to see Jon Stewart do one of those split screens with Pearle debating himself. I don't know of a better way to expose the lies.

Perle ought to get his story straight.

Rummy stated unequivocably that they knew where they were...he had no doubts.

Liars always get caught out sooner or later.

24. Didn't Powell list 232 sites during his speech
before the Security Council of the United Nations? Didn't he have pages and pages of locations? Didn't he state we knew where they were...which is why we kept saying, if you know, please tell the weapons inspectors? Why the American people haven't just marched on Washington and pulled these people out of our government is a complete mystery.

18. He could save himself a lot of trouble, just call Rummy, who said "we know
where they are...in the area east, north and south of Baghdad."

I guess I missed something, since US armed forces have been in total control of those areas since "mission accomplished". Yes, I'm certain I missed something. But what was it that I missed?

"We don't know where to look for them and we never did know where to look for them," he admitted.

And Rummy was hinting around on This Week, I think, that they knew where they where at and Saddam just "moved" them.

Man, these guys are something else.

I actually believe Perle....they are clueless...

Perle may be a liar, but let's give him a break. At least he's a lousy liar.

Teacher, the dog ate my evidence of banned weapons.
No, that won't work.

Teacher, I did my homework, and I'll turn it in as soon as I find it. That should only be two hundred years from now.

28. For a master-plotter (which he no doubt IS), Perle is so lame.
I too wish this would be spread far and wide.

I thought I would google to see if his speech in Moscow might be published somewhere. I didn't find it. BUT look what I did find. Turns out Perle is a novelist--is this widely known? I think (but can't be sure) that the "hero" is modeled on himself. This could give away a lot about the PNACers and how they think (probably revealing them to be pathetic). Has anyone read it?

http://eng.pubs.msps.ru/specvyp/specvyp4p0.html

Richard Perle «Hard Line»

<<Hard Line is not a historical novel, nor is it mere fantasy. The US President has recognizable traits of Ronald Reagan: a patriarch, a firm and upright politician capable of rising above the conventional wisdom of the day, an idealist and pragmatist at the same time confident of the ultimate triumph of Good over Evil. Defence Secretary Rider has some common features with Caspar Weinberger, Secretary of State Winthrop is reminiscent of George Schultz and Ambassador Moor of Ambassador Paul Nitze. But this is not the main thing. Aided by his prodigious knowledge of the material Perle convincingly demonstrates to the reader the level at which real politics is made. It is the level of deputy cabinet members who prepare often competing variants of decisions. Richard Perle himself had worked at this level and it is there that he places his hero, Michael Waterman, and his main opponent, Dan Bennet. The book will appeal to the broadest circle of readers.>>

34. Yep, and
these fascisti tack much closer to the wind of public opinion than the Left. They know how mindless, apathetic and illiterate the American Public is. This "outrageous" talk is to get people to think that WMD's are simply not that important. Though WMD's seemed to be important before, the Public has the attention span of a knat and can be persuaded that they really weren't important.

But the reality of all of this shit in Iraq will eventually catch up with Bush$Co. That's why I'm not to worried about all of this spin. Iraq is an umitigated disaster and these oil thieves need to bring order to Iraq before they can haul oil out at the rate they need too. They are stealing it from Rumailiah as we speak because it is on the border and easily gotten out and to the Kuwaiti coast without much interference.

The international community of nations is dealing with it pretty well. They are forcing any Iraq rebuilding process to go through the UN. Kofi Annan said a long time ago that the US will be responsible for re-building Iraq, or at least have to pay for it. This is the UN that the Right-Wing labeled unimportant and impotent before the war. The UN has the upper hand now and if they do go in then the true nature of the disaster that is Iraq will be revealed in detail. Bush's double bind: he cannot let the UN in for PR reasons, but must let them in to solve the problem--thugs cannot govern. After the barbarians sacked Rome they tried to get the local administers to govern and get the coffers filled again so they could sack the country again, but they had killed the host. Bush knows that government intervention is neccessary if the cycle of sacking and rebuilding is to continue. We are now watching that smirking chimp groveling before the UN that he tried to bring to heel.

IMO Bush's plan was always to have the UN come in and clean up his shit as he conquered the world. Let's see what happens if the UN fails to comply.

Let the motherfuckers, grovel and beg and let the disaster that THEY brought on the Mid-East be their undoing. They can spin all they want, but eventually the reality of Iraq and WHO IS RESPONSIBLE will come out, heeeee, heeeeee, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

38. Very good post
Edited on Wed Jul-23-03 08:29 AM by Jack Rabbit
There are a number of nations tat are probably just as happy that Bush has his hands caught in the trap he made for Iraq. With sixteen of the army's 33 combat brigades tied up in Iraq, the Frat Boy does not have the resources to get into mischief elsewhere.

He is indeed now groveling before those he disrespected since the day he took office. He may not think it is groveling. To him, the world owes him respect. He doesn't have to earn it, they just owe it to him. That's all the more reason why he doesn't get any respect.

I must take exception to your characterization of the American public as "mindless, apathetic and illiterate". As your avatar said, "You can't fool all of the people all of the time." Bush is fooling fewer and fewer people. The truth is catching up to him and will eat him alive.
