1. It's pretty good
I like that they use Faux News. I don't particularly like the clicking, although I get the reference to All The President's Men. I would have liked it in the scroll while they put that one and other lies. Still it's a great message.

20. my 2 cents
I wish it didn't link to a site with the word 'Democrat"in the url

I'm afraid that you'll lose people if they see a partisan affilliation; especially after the copy brings up a "bipartisan" investigation.

2. Good one.
Misleader's better imho, but I'm glad to see both on. I'd like to see one just list all the lies. On second thought, the list would be so long most people probably wouldn't believe it.

3. They couldn't do one of all his lies
I mean there's only 24 hours in a day. I'd just like to see a best (or worst) of that included more than the Africa uranium.

4. It just hit me...All the Presidents Men...the movie...remember
the typewriter sound and the text flowing across the screen.

Very clever.

7. no background music?
Edited on Tue Jul-22-03 06:57 PM by wuushew
I find the silence strangely annoying, my choices are

(A)circus music

or

(B)Theme to movie "Halloween"

or

(C)Evil male choral chanting

8. I hate it
Most Americans will look at it and see Watergate, but yet they'll look at it and feel as though this isn't Watergate. We're overreaching here and we don't need to. I hope the DNC changes their approach.

13. Overreaching? Like Baker saying machines count better than humans?
Like Bush saying Iraq was a threat to US security?

The Patriot Act?

"Mission Accomplished"?

15. Don't expect
too much in response. Just another who wants to give "us" advice on what is or isn't a good strategy.

So much advice, so little time. Or more to the point, so much advice, oh fuck off.

9. I love it....
I wonder if Steve Hadley's "accepting responsibility" was prompted by this ad.

Oh well.... Saddam's kids and Jessica Lynch have knocked this story off the news anyway. Dang.

10. And the best part is
that they used FOX news file footage.
:bounce:
The spin today complains that all 16 words weren't used. So f---ing what?

11. I dunno - Quicktime was too tiny to read and Real Player
only showed part of the text - good idea but couldn't watch it.

12. Enlarge the Quicktime screen
and you'll be able to read everything.

I don't know what system you're using, but I've got Mac OS 10, and I enlarged the Quicktime screen by pulling the tab at the lower right downward

14. Another way to enlarge the screen
If you're using WindowsXP, you might try right clicking on the window and selecting "unlock toolbar" or something like that.

17. There's No Tab (Win 2K)
There doesn't seem to be a way to expand the Quick time viewing screen on Win 2K. There's no tab, and no response to clicking either with the left or right mouse button.

It's a 1" square display on a large monitor. On a small monitor, the text is probably too small to be legible.

18. I think they timed it and his mea culpa to soften the blow of the ads
the ad was ok and I do like the subtle discrediting of Fox and Bush.

I wouldn't think that CSPAN has a high viewership.
