Question on 1,000's of callers

I have often wondered do certain things(like CBS on Reagan)get 1,000's of individual callers or a lot of the same callers loading up. CBS said thay had gotten 1,000,s of calls and emails on Reagan movie.

Same with e-mails can't the same person use different e-mails to load up making it seem like there are actually 1,000's of e-mails when it is a few of same persons? Noted in Florida right to life case the paper said the Govorner had gotten 1,000's of e-mails so he had to act.

There are phone and email trees, with their engines at idle, constantly ready to go whenever the Right Wing gets its secretly-worn panties in a wad. With a few keystrokes, one email can be delivered as a hundred.
