1. Sigh
Someday,SOMEday, conservatives will finally come to the realization that Hillary Rodham Clinton will not be a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. Someday.

3. I dont think she will run either...

20. No, she would not.
All this poll is telling us is that she has better name recognition than the other candidates. But, fairly or unfairly, she also has more negative baggage than most of the rest of the Senate put togther. If she were to run she'd mobilize the right wing to come out and vote for Bush like nobody's business.

She needs to marinate and let time fade some of the negative impressions.

She's a pro. She's the only one as vicious as the PNAC crowd.
She'd EAT BushCo.

And Bill will be Sec. of State!

4. Breakout
I find it annoying that none of the declared candidates is even beating "undecided" yet. When is one of them going to break out ahead of the others so we can get this show on the road?

7. 60% of the public doesn't know any of the others
except Lieberman and maybe Gephardt. The debates haven't exactly been accessible to the whole population. The media doesn't give any of the candidate sproper coverage to get their names out...except youknowwho.

12. They haven't been on network tv...only cable.
Many people don't have cable. I do agree that Clark and Dean have gotten an extraordinary amount, but, none of the others have received much.

For example: The name recognition for Kerry in my state of SC was 41%. People don't know he investigated BCCI, uncovered IranContra and Ollie North, and CIA drugrunning. They don't know he worked on the Kyoto Accord. They have no idea who he is when he has done so much. That's what the media keeps from the public.

9. Reminding them that Hilary won't run
is like killing their puppy.

I think she decided that just to disappoint them.

10. Why do we keep allowing Repukes to do
this to us. Hillary IS NOT running. Someone just has to put some little poll out every few days to stir up some Clinton hating on the right - it helps them raise money - Hillary's taking over the country, you know.

11. It's just name recognition
I know it's hard to believe but I bet less than 50% of the populce could name 5 of the candidates. We just happen to be interested but most people aren't even thinking about the race until next September or so. After the last election even more people are even thinking that their vote doesn't matter anyway.

17. Ho hum
So would Lieberman, they said, until folks found out where he really stood.

Hillary could never win the D base due to her record and she could NEVER win the General for obvious reasons.
