10. If you saw the Senate today
you'd see that that's what they've been doing.

2. My friend just called - has to evacuate!
I used to live right there in Castle Pines - his house was two doors down. Looks like they're evacuating, but from what I can see, the fire appears to be moving a bit to the north of the subdivisions. Just barely missing them - luck? Hope it works out. He said the roads are all clogged, doesn't know where to go. What a mess.

4. Yup. My mom just told me
Fires in Boulder and Castle Rock. Not good. What's REALLY bad that it's going to become worse -- it's extremely windy. Fortunately, it won't last because forecast calls for snow on Friday. Hopefully it'll help the firefighters douse it quickly.

5. I wouldn't say it is threatening Denver.....
But it has been very windy here today. The fire above Boulder is clearly visible from downtown Denver, and has forced the evacuation of Jamestown.

The fire south of Denver has forced the evacuation of several subdivisions...

9. That's okay, you meant well!
We have cool weather, with some rain and snow in our forecast from tomorrow until Friday. I hope that holds. Seems like no matter what great weather we have in October, come Halloween, here in the Denver area it can get cold and rainy/snowy.

11. Jamestown
is about 11 miles from my house, and fifteen or so from where I'm posting now. Good friends live there, hope they're okay.

After a decent spring and ok summer, it's been bone dry around here since Labor Day.
