Hypocritical support or supporters?
Edited on Wed Oct-29-03 01:48 PM by Bleachers7
I have noticed something with many Dean supporters. They are willing to burn anyone who is not with them or anyone that questions them. It doesn't matter if the person has been a supporter of Dean's or a friend of the campaigns. It doesn't matter if the supporters themselves said something nice about the person in the past. One comment that is percieved as unfriendly, and the Deaniacs are ready to burn them. Here is a short list.

Clark-Deaniacs were huge fans of Clark before he announced. The vast majority of them wanted him for VP. Clark announces and the hate comes out.

Kucinich- Many Deaniacs are also Kucinich fans (not always supporters). Kucinich rightfully questions the TV ad, and the Deaniacs flip. All of a suddon DK was the most hated man for Deaniacs.

Now Sharpton- Sharpton brings up one of Deans questionable quotes and the Dean supporters flip again. SPIN SPIN SPIN and trash Sharpton. You should have seen all the Dean avatared people raving about Sharpton after the debate. That has changed. I know Sharpton has problems, but no one was trashing him a day ago. Now it's no holds barred.

Just an observation.

1. just an observation
Clark has had no political career. I'd rather see him at the helm of a tank than running the government. You should edit your title to read: Flame-bait for Dean or Flame-bait for Dean supporters :eyes:

2. Dean Dean Dean
SOME! SOME SOME SOME!

SOME DEAN SUPPORTERS! SOME.

I am glad Clark is running. I don't hate him.

I like Kucinich a lot, still do. My opinion has never changed.

I think no more and no less about Sharpton than any other time. I just wish he had more facts.

So I'm ready for your apology now.

but no apology is warranted.

4. shhh
It's not polite to speak the truth, it can hurt. Having said that, it's not all of the Deanies, just the more fanatical ones that fit the post.

6. When people
start speaking the truth, we'll find out.

I've yet to see any honest objective criticism of Dean here. Only FAKE concern.

9. They're getting better
I think quite a few Dean supporters, in the beginning, were just so overwhelmed to have a "fighter" they could support that they just couldn't understand why all us "heathens" didn't get it about how excellent he was.

More now than before, I'm getting a sense that dissent is being more tolerated by the Dean folks.

Of course, that may just because they think it's all irrelevant because they've got it "wrapped up" and we're all going to have to "shut up and get to work" once they suppose the nominating's over.

We'll see.

Just wanted to say they're not all that way.

10. Wrong again.
Most Dean supporters just fight back. Unlike many other types of Dems. I'm sure you know the type. Think pink tutu.

4. If you wish to start a vanity thread (ie: a discussion thread in which the sole purpose is to share your personal opinion) you must state your opinion in a non-inflammatory manner which respects differences in opinion and facilitates actual discussion.

"Deaniacs" is considered inflammatory.

12. Maybe Dean supporters are tired of Democrats sniping at him.
How many friggin times do we have to see the same stupid articles posted over and over and over before we say something? For Christ's sake, if your candidate is so damned good why don't you post positive shit about your candidate rather than continually, day after day after day, bashing Dean.

I support Dean. I also like Clark, Kerry, Kucinich, and Edwards. I'd probably support any of them in the election. You don't see me posting shit about Clark every day, or Kerry, or Kucinich, or Edwards. So why the fuck does you anti-dean crowd see fit to do so?
If you wanna attack Democrats, do so at freerepublic.com. They'll appreciate your help.
