Hey Georgie, why didn't you intercept THIS communication?

August 6 2001 Presidential Daily Brief -- "Bin Laden Determined to Strike INSIDE the U.S."

You'd be amazed at the intelligence you could gather if you just bothered to read the stuff that comes across your desk, Commander Prissypants.

1. Ooooooh... Good One!!!!
He didn't do shit to prevent 9-11, and made up excuses as to why he supposedly couldn't. The guy's life is one big excuse to do what he pleases when he pleases. Shame on those supporting him now.

3. LOL! GOOD ONE!
Not to mention the 'intelligence' proferred by advisors who said invading Iraq would be a disaster, a war will cost billions, we will not be greeted as liberators, etc.

Maybe if Bush had heard these things by 'listening in' on their phone conversations, he would have given their statements more credence ...

12. very true
in fact

it could be argued that since the CIA gave him 3 billion american taxpayers dollars he has gone out of his way to serve bush's ultimate goals

my favourite bushism of all time ...

"Can you tell us why Osama hasn't been found yet?"

Bush "Because he is hiding"

makes a lot more sense when you se how far down his list osama comes now

Iraq, then Iran ... and Egypt is the prize ... its well documented

17. And even better still...
Why was no one from the NSA penalized (read: fired or put on suspension) for not doing same-day translation of the Al Qaeda communication it intercepted on September 10.

I've mentioned this several times here on DU, because it's something I don't think we should forget.

On September 10,2001 the NSA intercepted Al Qaeda communication in which they were saying "the match begins tomorrow" and "tomorrow is zero hour."

But this communication was NOT translated until September 12, the day after the 9/11 attacks.

I want an explanation as to why 1) the NSA did not do same-day translation and 2) why was no one penalized for this oversight?

18. He was too busy brushing up on the difficult vocabulary
words found in the book "My Pet Goat" so as not to look foolish in front of the school kids.

Ooops. Looked foolish anyway, didn't he?

19. But Condi said ....
Just the other night in her interview with Wolfie ... If they had been doing then what they were doing now they would have know and been able to stop them before they could commit the crime that they did on 9/11.

I kid you not. She said that with a straight face. I then yelled at the tv that if they had just taken the intellegence that they HAD seriously, they might have been able to stop it before it happened. She didn't respond to me though. Guess she didn't want to hear it. :sarcasm:
