Now that the all consuming "I" word has started to bubble up in the mainstream (or traditional as Markos prefers ) media, I thought it might be interesting to see just how fast and dense this bubble is growing.

A couple of simple Google NewsTM searches later and we have a very interesting set of results...

Number of references to Bush and Impeachment appearing in Google NewsTM search results from:


November 1st to December 1st 2005 = 95

December 1st to December 26th = 907

As you can see that's a 955% increase in references to Bush's impending impeachment in just 26 days!

1. As a small point of language

it is best to refer to the media that you referenced as 'corporate media' rather than 'mainstream' or 'traditional'. The two latter and commonly used terms are easily obscured and say little about the reality of how the news world operates. The former term that I suggest not only, with a single word, gives an accurate depiction of what the media has become but will also serve to marginalize it in the eyes of the populace. The media,being the propaganda arm of corporate america, must go by its rightful name.
