Sides ‘freep’ newspapers’ poll question on spying

<snip>

SIERRA VISTA — The Herald/Review’s online opinion poll recently became a pawn between right- and left-wing political organizations.

On Sunday, the newspaper was alerted by a woman in Los Angeles to the fact that the Herald/Review’s poll was being “freeped.”

<snip>

On Sunday, it was evident that the DU members had been called to action on the Herald/Review’s poll.

A member named “K8-EEE” and using a photo of Democratic Congressman John Conyers Jr. had started a fresh discussion thread with this challenge: “Unfreep This ‘Bush Spy Approval’ Poll, S’il vous plait!”

11. exactly.
I actually never vote more than once, first it is too much trouble and I am too lazy to clear my browsers out and second I like to try and get a pulse for how peeps are feeling (I know they are unscientific)but I have seen a dramatic change in the online polls this past autumn especially the small town newspapers.

7. I've always wondered when someone would do a story on poll wars.
I should write and thank them and encourage them to research and do another story on it. Freeper from FR are known for setting up bots to vote over and over again on certain polls and of ocurse they clear their caches and do whatever works to cast multiple votes just like in real life political elections. They worship at the altar of Diebold with services given by Father Faker Wally O'deal.

Granted I've seen a few DU'ers now and then talk about multi votes but I can guarntee you the free republic posters treat this like information warfare and they are of course members of 101st fighting keyboarders (ala PNAC also referred to as their bible).

The back and forth poll wars are fascinating as an internet phenomena and cultural programming.

8. I'm So Surprised, I Didn't Even Have A Speech Prepared!
I'm so honored....thanks to Steve_DeShazer for opening the envelope, thank you to my liberal parents for teaching me to fight freepers of all sorts, thank you Skinner for giving us this wonderful anti-fascist forum and thanks all of you DU-ers.

SNIFF!!!

Most of all, thank you to the Herald/Review, wherever the hell it is, I forget, for allowing me to use their poll in a pawn like fashion.

Now troops, back to the War On Christmas. Happy Holidays to one and all!

:kick:

12. Damn, I miss that town;
The mountain depicted on the paper's masthead was partly in the US and partly in Mexico. Lived there around 1980 and later. Nice place. Too bad the freeps got hold of the poll.

BTW, Happy Holidays!
