3. Remember that moment in "What I Saw at the Revolution"
When she pulled one of several all-nighters writing yet another speech for Reagan, and looked just ridden hard and put away wet, as they say. Dirty hair. Wrinkled, mismatched skirt. Wrong shoes. Stained blouse. And Nancy passed by her, saw the way she looked, and the First Lady's lip curled. Poor Peggy just shrunk and slinked away.

Peggy has a self-esteem problem that medication won't cure enough of. It's not hard to make her into a fool when she seems to think she really is one.

5. I remember reading that book
and wondering how it was possible for someone to go from being a pro-JFK kid to being a Bush idolizer.

6. I can.
Desperately seeking approval. Ignoring the signs of rejection. Feeling loved when she's merely being paid attention to. Snubbing her old friends who look on in either confusion or disapproval. Isolating herself to the point where she no longer remembers when things changed into what they are.

I could go on, but women in abusive relationships will recognize these feelings. Poor Peggy, as I keep saying. She just has no idea that they'll use her up like a bottle of something, then toss her aside when they're done.

4. Yet another one of the Right's.....
ridiculous "thinker/philosophers". I don't think they have a wit or a true thinker among them.
