WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 - Jack Abramoff, the Republican lobbyist under indictment for fraud in South Florida, is expected to complete a plea agreement in the Miami criminal case, setting the stage for him to become a crucial witness in a broad federal corruption investigation, people with direct knowledge of the case said.

One participant in the case said the deal could be made final as early as next week.

has very little to do with it. If the charges do come down on elected officials, that will be front page headlines that even the repukes can't ignore.

If the charges stick and these politicos get convicted, it will be real hard to put a good spin on "I'm going to prison" in their newsletter.

I agree the sheer volume of scandals surrounding these assholes can be overwhelming. But the fact all these scandals have come to light, gone into litigation, and into the MSM, is a good thing.

Besides, WE understand it. It's our duty to spell it out for the politically challenged. O8)

I figure his choices are big jail time, little jail time, or witness protection program.

I'm hoping the prosecutors are Fitzgerald-like in these cases and do the right thing.
