Larisa Alexandrovna of Raw Story: Rove WILL BE indicted.
She said that on AAR just now. Said the Novak thing was just a delaying tactic, had no effect otherwise. She said Fitz has made the case to the GJ, it's just a matter of what the counts are.

The host said the GJ's term expires on Jan. 18. First I've heard that. I hope it does not mean Fitz is finished after indicting Rove and possibly one other (Hadley?). I want more. Much more.

7. Thanks. Very encouraging stuff there.
Maybe the AAR guy confused "18 months" (GJ term) with "Jan. 18". He frequently mis-speaks.

9. I hadn't heard that; I have read that existing
GJ's could be used if add'l information had to be ruled on.

11. He presented info to the new grand jury
which sits for 18 months. It is in the cover story on rawstory.

"""The second grand jury hearing evidence in the case convened for the first time earlier this month. Their term expires in 18 months.

The investigation is expected to shift back to top officials in the Office of the Vice President, the State Department and the National Security Council, and may even shed some light on the genesis of the Niger forgeries, lawyers close to the case say. The forged documents, cited in President Bush's 2003 State of the Union address, claimed Iraq sought yellowcake uranium from the African country. It may also reveal how key players in the White House decided to expose Plame's undercover status and top secret front company, Brewster Jennings. """

23. they can sit for up to 18 months
then they can be dismissed if they finish earlier or an extension can be requested in certain cases. Not sure what things must be met to grant an extension. I think the first grand jury did get an extension in the leak case - reasons for such a request haveto be presented to a judge

10. just to be clear...
I said that I am told that Rove will be indicted and that according to what I am told, Fitz has already made his case. Now if Luskin decides to throw another Novak under the bus, then who knows what will finally happen or if backroom dealing will change the situation. However as of now, nothing has changed from my last report on this based on what I am told.

Hope that helps out a bit.

I just don't want people coming back to me later and saying, but "rove was not indicted like you said" like last time, because last time no one new that Luskin had pulled Novak out of his black bag of magic tricks and that changed the game. So please be cautious in understanding that things can change at the 11th hour and that even the sources we have are not superhuman. But if all stays as is, then there should be at least one indictment.

I agree with both of your observations, Ben. She has done a lot of good things for the cause. In a real world, she would be at a major daily, that is if there were any with the fortitude to print the truth.

22. I called it! I told you that Novak thing WASN'T EVEN A HAIL MARY.
Once you reviewed the facts, there was no hope in the world that it could have improved anything for Rove. It might have helped the lawyer, but not the client. The lawyer can always claim that his client lied to him, and that's the only benefit I saw in Novak's testimony. Because Rove's lawyer can now say that he had no idea that Rove was involved until that point, and once he discovered it, he went back to Rove to advise him to tell the truth, which, of course, he delayed doing.

28. I've been saying this for a YEAR now, even made a Film about it
"Rove's War", which you can read about at http://www.takebackthemedia.com - a complete & Definitive Chronology of the Plame Outing.

Joseph Wilson donated to receive one, really looking forward to his take on my film. I think he saw the review on firedoglake..

Meanwhile, while waiting you can Decorate YOUR own Fitzmas Tree, an Interactive Flash Animation:

"I wanted a Fitzmas Tree ever since I heard the term invented on the Web, and NOW I have one, and you can too..

YOU can actually DECORATE YOUR OWN FITZMAS TREE, by dragging and dropping Ornaments on the FITZMAS TREE - if an Ornament sticks to your "hand" it may be because of the slimy people encased within, just give it another mouse click on the tree to shake it off. The first flash can be found here:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmas.swf

But there are two Flashes that interact with each other - one is the Fitzmas Tree itself, with a box FULL of decorations, the decorations being the Subjects of Indictments, Investigations, etc - something your Right Wing brother-in-law might also be interested in knowing, lots of facts

If you click (click all over the page, lots of surprises on it) on the TITLE's of the Flashes you can go between the Tree itself, and another Flash that will load up with all the Decorations and an explanation of WHO they are, and WHAT they did.. for folks that don't know much about the Plame Outing they can get educated on the Ornaments and then click on back to the Tree and Decorate the Hell out of it

The first link goes to the Fitzmas Tree itself, but like I said, you can click to the other Flash for more info, or a pal can get more info and Trim the Tree after.

You can check out the Ornaments information at this link secondly (but maybe miss some surprises where the Presents are in the first link) HERE:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmasornaments.swf

In case you're wondering what that building is in the background, it's the HAGUE, I thought it rather appropriate - and the guys in ORANGE, well, I think you'll recognize them

And don't forget to open the presents under the FITZMAS TREE, I wrapped them special just for YOU."

32. I'll tell you ONE of the ways they will bring down Rove..
among others I'm sure Patrick has.. back when this was first handed to Ashcroft, before he recused himself as he'd handed over a million and a half or so bucks to Rove, only to get beat by a dead guy..

Rove was being interviewed by the FBI.. now in my film (which I researched for a year or so) you'll see that in Texas in the early days, ROve basically was using the FBI there as his own Gestapo.. he gutted the Agricultural Dept there, Jim Hightower was basically roadkill, but lived, others were DESTROYED..

so of course Rove thought at the time he was being interviewed by the FBI on Plamegate that HE was in control, his hubris will be his own downfall.. the FBI keeps RECORDS of interviews, those are now in Fitzgerald's hands.

And in those records are NO mention of Cooper and other things, THIS is what will sink him.. he LIED to the FBI as a matter of course, probably told them to pick up a stack of hundreds on the way out the door :)

I'll let folks know once Rove IS indicted, but as I've also been saying for a LONG time, Rove WILL be indicted.. you don't go in front of a grang jury (and I've spent a Lot of time in legal proceedings myself) without screwing yourself, no lawyer is present and ANYONE WILL screw up..

It's been said that a federal agent can make you a liar with ONE question.. this is why you must NEVER answer them with anything other than, "I have no comment to make at this time, if I am not to be arrested I would appreciate your leaving, if not I will now call my attorney..".

Rove was in front of the GJ for HOURS. He's toast. Maybe his lawyer is toast too.

It's barely a notch above CapitolHillBlue in reliability, which is like saying athlete's foot is slightly less irritating than jock itch.
