What can the recent Republican failures be chalked up to?
Patriot Act getting whacked, ANWR staying safe, and others.

What is the reason? And how can we drive it further?

A. It's because of events in Congress. The Indictment of DeLay, Cunningham getting caught, Frist under investigation, etc.

B. It's because of the Bush Administration. Scooter Libby getting indicted and other scandals.

C. Katrina.

D. Jack Abramoff.

E. Combination.

F. Other.

2. Other. It all started with a brain-dead vegetable woman in
Pinellas Park, Florida and the Republicans who started to believe their own bullshit about "moral values" voters. Many of them must have been left out of the Diebold loop and bought into their own party's lies.

5. it's because we aren't putting up with the dirty tricks from Republicans!!
They only put that Alaskan drilling item in the defense bill because they didn't think the Democrats had the balls to vote against it! Surprise, surprise!!

And the Democrats even wanted to give a temporary extension to the Patriot Act instead of killing it but the Republicans didn't want to do that.

As usual, the Republicans want all or nothing. And guess what Santa Claus is bringing them? NOTHING!!

7. They are a reason
But, if the votes were split by party lines, the Republicans would win again and again.

There is a reason why we beating the Republicans back, and it's just not because the Democrats are getting a voice, and I think we need to look at what that that reason is.

16. good men never get credit....
until bush is physically trapped, in sight of the public, with his demonreign finally finito and his conga line of sukkholes all hiding in italy and israel, britain and the UAE etc; until then the enormity of what the bushviks have done overwhelms any reasonable assessment of the situ.....a few gopig heads on a few signposts around DC would do the trick, for starters :)

9. Other - Cindy Sheehan is where it started.
When Junior spent his entire vacation dodging one mother of a dead soldier, that's when people began to take notice. And then that led directly into the Katrina disaster, where even the whore media briefly joined reality. And then all their past crimes started falling apart, Scooter, Abramoff, Bugboy, Cunningham, etc.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of criminal bastards.

11. BS & AS: Before Schiavo & After Schiavo...
The Congressional leaders (and followers) really showed themselves in that tragic family matter as they really are; politicians.

All the other stuff, Cindy Sheehan, CIA leak, etc followed as if on cue.

If 'God' wanted GWB to be president, then he wanted the biggest whore of a politician to be president.

I'm hoping the Bushistas are making the US safe for a New New Deal. Will some Democrat stand up and lead, please. Faster, please.

15. Bush is losing control and despite the media trying to make
some modest gains in the polls into a big story--he has lost the confidence of the American people and congress is catching on.
