MSNBC poll: Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
88%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
3%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

Well, okay. Not online polls, but professional polls. I do believe the percentage of those polled agreeing with impeachment proceedings never exceeded 40% with respect to Clinton. Even the thought of cigars wasn't enough to put it on the radar for the majority. ;)

Bush needs to go the way of Lonesome Dove...

I'd love to hear 20 years from now that he choked on his own vomit behind some back alley while dressed in lice-ridden rags. Poetic justice demands that his fate involves a huge fall from grace.

Ruined? Well, depends on what "ruined" means here, but in many senses he's obviously a ruined human being.

Can you imagine him **NOT** reverting to active alcoholism after impeachment? And he's never been able to manage his own business. Just throw him off the gravy train, and choking on his vomit will eventually follow as surely as night follows day.

29. Repugs actually impeached Clinton for lying about a BJ - Bush has
already surpassed Nixon for reasons for impeachment -- the biggest deception was sacrificing 0ver 2000 US troops and maiming over 16,000 for going to war under false and in some cases fabricated scenario's.

This world is getting more dangerous with Bush and his administration in power as they claim success in this phoney war! Bush doesn't have control of his mental faculties!

175. i like your style bro ;o)
can we throw these bastards in a cell somewhere and watch as their judgements are decided for them, behind closed doors .. for their own good?

better still, who's up for a kind of "running man" spectacle through the streets of his own people?

The people who love him so and hang on his every word as great lord overseer and protector and decider of what's good and what's evil in the whole world!

He who lives by the sword dies by the sword

So i'm sure that to get to the bottom of this crime of international propertions the current administration would in fact be the first to condone the perpetrators be subjected to truth serums, beating to within an inch of their lives, savaged by dogs, forced to perform acts of homosexuality upon each other (cue lindsey england with cheesey grin and cig hanging from mouth), sensory deprivation and, well, just about anything to get to the bottom of this aborration?

oh no hang on, it was them wasn't it, of course they won't agree, so maybe we shouldnt be looking to them for the authority to disband this bunch of gangsters

can't expect the pigs to AGREE to slaughter all the pigs

doesn't breaking the constitution in some way forfeit your right to make any more damn decisions about anything regarding your country?

74. Hope people realize we don't "DU a poll" we point it out and vote.
I've wondered if some people new here or some visitors think that we somehow taint polls by "DUing" it. For the record.. posting a poll here simply allows more people to see it and we vote as we would always vote had we found it on our own. None of us here actually has the skank or the time to vote over and over. As I write this, I wonder if most online polls have found ways to stop that even if you clear your cache.

Soo... what I'm trying to say in my clumsy way, is that this poll ROCKS because it's over 12,000 people that have voted in this, and it looks reeeeal bad for Bush. :yourock:

90. impeachment???
as long as impeachment involves putting the lot of them in the stocks then letting every american who's had their constitutional rights violated by these gangsters line up and throw something heavy with sharp edges at them ... swiftly followed by every non-american who's had to suffer at this state sponsored violence

that's a lot of rocks and im sure would both send a loud message to the world your not going to stand for this, and maybe deter others from trying in future!

unfortunately i am not surprised at what america is experiencing right now, it is little more than you have exported for decades finally coming home to roost in your complacency

the rape and pillage of civil rights for the financial gains of capitalism masquerading as democracy using troops as henchmen in their racket

don't take my word for it

“The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy.” — Ramsey Clark former U.S. Attorney General under President Lyndon Johnson

“War is a racket.” — General Smedley Butler former U.S. Marine Commandant Common Sense

With cheney's recent 'warning' and *s out of touch bubble world, they have no intention of being swayed by polls. I'm not sure they haven't a contingency in place to "recess" congress if such talk became stronger, kind of using the boys in khaki to enforce a time out from the seperation of powers which they seem to have so little regard.

103. IMPEACHMENT OVER THIS LITTLE DEED?
Oh come on, the republicans would not tolerate such a thing, I mean we all know they re-defined what is justifiable for impeachment and that is a private indescretion (sex scandal) I mean, come on whats' worse here people a little spying on people, slashing the constitution, or a whole lotta sex? Spying doesn't sell in the media, but the republicans know what does, and its sex. And the only way from 1998 on out that a president will ever again be impeached is a.) if he's a democrat, b.)if he's a democrat and the congress is red, or b.)if the president is a democrat and the red congress is desperate for attention.

So, come on, guys this won't float, its all about sex. We're doomed.

141. Following up on previous post: Has anyone seen this poll mentioned on-air?
Or have they decided not to talk about it? My bet is this poll never gets mentioned by Chris Matthews, Fucker Carlson or anyone else on the air. It will disappear into the Memory Hole.

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 58293 responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
87%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

147. JUST IN CASE THERE'S SOME CONFUSION
I got this from their own website

Impeachment

"Impeachment, in the U.S. and Great Britain, proceeding by a legislature for the removal from office of a public official charged with misconduct in office. Impeachment comprises both the act of formulating the accusation and the resulting trial of the charges; it is frequently but erroneously taken to mean only the removal from office of an accused public official. An impeachment trial may result in either an acquittal or in a verdict of guilty. In the latter case the impeached official is removed from office; if the charges warrant such action, the official is also remanded to the proper authorities for trial before a court." Source: FWE

lying about a break in (ok I know he resigned but in the face of impeachment!) The Dubya has to get it for Lying about the War, Spying on American citizens! and the whole lot of other crooked shit he's done.

If he were to be placed on trial, how much do you want to bet he'd be like Saddam. They aren't really all that different are they?
Arrogant
Ruthless
illegally attacking another country
Torture chambers
Paranoid
Religious when it suits them to be so
Pampered

155. in vino veritas !
i couldn't have put it better myself :D

i would personally like to see bush, cheney and according to the mass murderer henry kissinger "the most ruthless person i have ever met" - donald rumsfeld sitting in the same court as saddam is right now

i can see them now, dishing the dirt on each other to save their own sorry hides

but you cannot blame this squarely with bush, the real manipulators are cheney and rumsfeld

they did it with the cold war on trumped up phoney evidence syphoning trillions off the people by starting an arms race with a nation albut crumbling under itself ... its the american way!:patriot:

if you would like to see a quite concise list of instances try this link, its a good read once you get past the stats

roughly translated it means "in drink, the truth"

if you want to know what your really like, share a bottle of vodka with a good friend, then ask them what's annoying about you :D

alcohol loosens our inhibitions and tongues, i'd love to see a fly on the wall documentary on the republicans christmas party this year!

Reckon any red blooded american will take it upon himself to tell those Cocks In Charge exactly what he thinks of them after a few too many gin and tonics??

of course they wont, none of them has the balls for dissent and they value their paycheck and corporate masters too much, faghags :)

i wouldn't be surprised if those bastards were drinking blood and eating babies ... it wouldn't shock me one bit compared to the attrocities thay have your boys committing in the name of "democracy"

rant over

160. Had Nixon not resigned and was impeached he wouldn't have been pardoned
as Ford by law couldn't have pardoned him in that case. I'm sure that played heavily into his resigning.

I wonder if Bush and Cheney are going to try and work out similar situations. In order to do that and have someone in place that can pardon them, it will probably require Cheney to resign at some point, and Bush to replace him with an unimpeachable person sort of like Ford was, and then to resign himself. Otherwise, if they wait until after 2006, when Pelosi instead of Hastert will take over, these guys are likely going to jail, one way or the other!

The interesting thing right now though is that if Cheney resigns in this scenario, he's putting a lot of faith in Bush to turn around and appoint "the right person" to take over and resign himself to get those pardons. I'm suspsecting that Cheney is resisting this option for this very reason right now. I'm betting there's a lot of bickering behind close doors now.

I wonder if the movie they make in five to ten years will be titled something like "All the Vice President's Men" (assuming that Cheney is the nucleus of most of this mess!)

174. it cant be allowed to happen
for them to escape punishment for these crimes only paves the way for it to happen again in the future

i'm recalling something about "sending a clear message to the world we are serious about these evil do'ers"

it will be so easy just to use their own phrases against them in the prosecution it's like they are building the case against themselves for us

everytime i hear bush speak now ... i can't help but think he's actually describing his own actions, and the smirk on the side of his mouth, is that of a psycho

impeach ... or lynch?b

surely thats' on the left side of the left of liberal?

considering the illegal invasion of iraq has cost more tha 100,000 INNOCENT lives so far ... that's about 0.004 % of a year for each "enemy" he's blown up, according to me calculatorisor :D

if that's the going rate for shooting the eyes out of your enemies i can think of at least a weeks worth of bastards i'd do time for

maybe tookie should be the ones to decide their punishments?
