Corrupt is the Word
It is the fact. The Republican Party is corrupt to its core. There was a time I could respect Republicans. While I may not have agreed with them I could respect their point of view. No longer. respect from me. A decent person is hard to find in the oh so holier then thou Republican party. That party is rotting from the inside out. Pustules are just now popping up on the surface as they try to band aid over them, cover up, cover up, cover up. Distract and distract. Ramrod through previously tabled bills. We can't do it the right way we will do it any way. Force feed the opposition nasty pudding and put it over on the American people. Ted Stevens = Corrupt. Dennis Hastert = Corrupt. Bill Frist = Corrupt.

They are quite simply corrupt. Tom Delay, Abramoff, Bill Frist and his insider trading. Lying war mongers, who say and do whatever it takes to achieve the desired results demanded by the corporations that own them, lock, stock and barrel. Illegal spying on American Citizens is just the latest example of the corruption. They are soulless. They have no honor. They are corrupt.

Did I mention that they are corrupt?

1. Historical precident
The Republican Party has always appeared to have been for sale to the highest bidder. Look at the railroads and the way they got favorable legislation passed during the last half of the nineteenth cetury. Republican candidate for President, John Blaine, was known to have taken bribes from the railroads. In the early 20th century, you had Harding and Teapot Dome, when oil reserves were given to the highest bidder. About the only Republican that didn't like Big Business was Teddy Roosevelt, and he bolted to the Progressive Party.

3. True enough, but in my lifetime
(and I lived through Nixon) this is the most blatantly corrput and it permeates the entire party, including their supporters. You must be corrupt to continue to support Bush and his band. No one is that stupid, no one is that blind so absolute corruption is the only remaining choice.
