Repukes keep saying the Senate already passed ANWR?
What basis in truth is this?

And why is it in the energy bill if so?

3. Passed in the House,
not voted on yet in Senate. Do you know how many bills pass the House and never make it out of committee in the Seante?

said that that "we" meaning the senate had passed appropriation for it. That's not true, only the house has.

4. It was in the budget resolution earlier this year.
Maria Cantwell had an amendment that would remove it from the budget and it fell a few votes short. That was just the budget authorization though, it still has to be appropriated for.

While it's true that a very slim majority supports ANWR, they don't have enough to break a filibuster. That's why they are putting it on a defense bill, that many Senators would be reluctant to filibuster.

6. It was approved by the House and Senate in mid-90s.
Clinton vetoed the bill.
