Seriously- do small plane crashes generally get this much coverage?
I don't mean to seem callous, but the way the networks are covering this small plane crash seems almost desperate. I'm seriously asking- isn't this degree of exclusive focus unusual?

12. True dat :( It's how my father died.
I've know a bunch of people in Alaska who have died in small aircraft crashes. Small airplanes DO NOT have the same statistics as Jets.

I've only known full coverage if there is a famous person aboard.

3. I'm thinking the same way you are.
Maybe there isn't anything else they want to talk about. Or maybe there is a rumor of someone famous being aboard.

4. I'm torn ... quite a few people have died, but still ...
we also have King Asshat coming before the press amid allegations of domestic spying today ... I think a few hours of wall-to-wall coverage is enough. They ought to "move on."

5. I think Fox led the way, and the others followed.
Fox wants to turn attention away from Bush's problems spying illegally in America. They would use anything. The other two simply follow Fox.

8. Only when they want to cover up the "real" news. How bu$h is in trouble...
with his fascist spying on US citizens without a warrant, news.

11. Not sure what to make of it, but...
local station WRTV channel six in Indianapolis has been reporting bad things about the misfit of late. Just had a snip from Bush's news conference on and showed his raging temper. The way they worded the story at bottom of screen also put the idiot in a bad light. Not for sure it's word for word but it was something like this: "President Bush thinks it's alright to wiretap Americans without a court order". Then they played the snip with Bush raging mad.

10. They do if there's a real story they want to bury
Missing blondes on Aruba didn't get much coverage, either, unless they were trying to bury something.
