A recommendation for liveoaktx !

I think he is doing a wonderful service by posting his short videos of up-to-date news stories. I really appreciate those. I miss a lot of those on TV as they are happening and his posts are excellent for reviewing those events. I wish that Skinner and the Admin would consider putting a special place for him on the front page. Sometimes they disappear so fast in GD. I think it would add to the service. Any thoughts?

11. Great idea. I always search for liveoaktx in the threads.

No cable here at my home. Heck, no television reception at all. I feel like I can get a better impression of what's going on with bush, et cetera, by watching the videos liveoaktx provides.

When I saw bush with Maher yesterday, it felt to me that bush was made out of paper, like you could flick your finger at him and he would crumple. I can't get that kind of impression just by reading about what he says or his gestures. And that coke jaw, or hula jaw as another DU'er puts it, is just amazing when you actually witness it for yourself.

18. I met liveoaktx in Crawford and she is very dynamic and fun...

She has a great sense of humor and also has (of course) an in depth understanding of what all of us here recognize as the utter depth of corruption that is the bfee.

I would love to see an area of the the website devoted to her videos. She is a talented videographer who deserves a lot of recognition. MKJ

It's either a measure of how obsessed I am to fight the corporate media's slant that includes so much BS or how much I enjoy touting and flouting the "Democrats are silent" mantra that is false.

My motto is "If you're gonna watch or listen, consider recording a clip to share". Redacted, for example, is about to ramp up on video clips to share.

Anyway, I'd like to say it's a hobby but it's more than a hobby because I have a burning desire to see our country back on an ethical footing that honors the constitution, doesn't invade other countries for any frivolous reason (including spreading democracy), doesn't debate torture-yes or no, and puts people first instead of corporations.

Fact is, video clips speak much louder than words alone. Body language and tone revealing. Plus, the printed word is all too often "edited" to serve the purposes of the administration. For example, remember the WH effort to change the transcript of the McClellan press conference to say the OPPOSITE of what he actually said? The video clips showed the truth.
