19. It would be a convenient place for all sorts of vandalism
I can't imagine even Tweety taking that seriously, though. They must've drugged his food with whatever they put in that Koolaid, given him a double dose today.

Honestly, it was bad enough vandalizing a perfect mountain by carving four competent politicians into it. Putting an incompetent boob whose only successes are as a wrecking ball for everything good about this country and killing tens of thousands of people by proxy onto it would be too great a temptation for the people out there who have resented the stupid thing from day one.

He said in the context of "if the Iraq thing pans out and democracy is established in the heart of the Middle East" but ... the invocation of Mount Rushmore was so fucking hyperbolic.

Now he's creaming over the press reception last night -- oh Jeezus where's my barf bag????

25. Tweety: We (the media) all should have congratulated * last night.
He took the biggest best since FDR backed Britain...
He's pulled off the unthinkable - a democracy in the Middle East...

I can't believe I just heard this. First Brokaw says, oh spying was okay, given the time we were in,
then Tweety and Fineman FAWN over the Idiot and the war.

World gone mad.

20. I am tired of that piece of shit Matthews ...
the other day he said bush can put out propaganda because it is the good propaganda. Everytime he interviews the Dem he puts on his little sneaky hateful smirk, and starts asking what is the dems plan. These bastards think they can do anything and say its because it is protecting the country. Thats how * keeps getting away with every lie.

Everytime I see Tweety I remember something that my dad, an ex-Marine DI, used to say when he was mad at us kids. He'd say something about being so mad he wanted to "kick my ass so far up my head that the birdies wouldn't tweet around it any more." That phrase is engrained in my little mind. Anyway, everytime I see Tweety, I conjure up a picture of him tweetering around *'s ass. It isn't a pretty picture.

on edit: we just got MSNBC on our cable package a few weeks ago. I have to watch Hardball. Otherwise I'll be stuck with watching CNN's "Situation Room" and their crisis of the moment. I want poltically oriented news, not some overturned bus or kidnapped/missing white chick.

42. Imagine growing up with one
He became a DI after his two stints in the Korean Conflict. He also used to brag about scoring high on some the "psychotic" meter in psychological tests. In addition to dad being a DI at Parris Island ("in the fifties, when go the misfits and could get away with stuff) in the 50's, he was also was an MP and the ranking officer at a military criminal transfer unit. It wasn't until I was out on my own that I found out that everyday sayings like "we'll fly that up the flag pole to see who salutes it" really weren't the norm. BTW, his "flag pole" comment is his sacrastic way to say "no".

I love Keith. In fact, I lobbied fellow DU'ers to help get MSNBC on my cable package so I could see Keith. I refuse to take phone calls when his show is on. My husband is beginning to suspect something. The fact that I'm a sports junkie, a political junkie and love "Oddball" - I've already told my husband that if anything happens to him I'm moving to NY and going after KO. I'm smitten! :loveya:

in that country, Bush would deserve to be on Mt Rushmore. Since when did a "gamble" deserve anything? Did everyone else on Mt Rushmore "gamble" with our nations security? A "gamble", win or lose, deserves no reward.
