CNN: We Recently Had Zarqawi In Custody But Let Him Go
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 10:33 PM by eleny
Per Anderson Cooper just now on CNN, he had been in custody recently but no one recognized him. He gained weight and looked different. Also, he was carrying identification under a country different from his true origins.

Story on the CNN web site http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/12/15/zarqawi.captured/index.html

Number three has both legs.

6. They mentioned his tattoo
Cooper said that he did have a distinguishing mark on his body but that it may have been removed.

The odd thing about this report is how short it was with no follow up discussion with anyone. No interview with a terrorism expert. Can you imagine if a Dem was in office? Oh, nevermind. The Dem prez would have been impeached by now.

never win in Iraq when it's so obvious they ain't even TRYING to win.

Not that I even know what "winning" means, (do they know?) but Mr. Z was a prime catch. Or so we've been led to believe.

25. Randi says this "catch and release" has been going on for awhile.
We know who they are, but we really don't have any real interest in keeping them. Who knows how many times they ignored Bin Laden.

29. Now CNN is downplaying Zarqawi's importance
A report asserts that the insurgency is being "Iraqified" and that if Zarqawi were killed he would be quickly replaced.

It didn't take them long to nullify the gaff.
