Katrina victims get screwed again. This time by a Florida prep school.

North Broward Prep school took in students who were victims of Hurricane Katrina. The parents were told up front not to worry about financial arrangements -- something would be worked out later.

Back home now, parents are receiving bills ranging from $8,000 to $15,000 and the school is withholding all records until the fees are paid.

Most of the parents feel that it's fair to pay something, but they find these fees outrageous.

In the old days thieves used masks and guns. Now they just send bills. Given what's already happened to these people, those who run North Broward Prep school should hang their heads in shame.
