I'll stop when they get something right.

Name-calling is childish.

On edit: Actually, why stop then? If one of the one-line "exclusives" actually does fluke out and happen to be true, it will be through chance, not good reporting.

They shouldn't trail something they can't deliver, and if they can deliver it, they should do so. It's a very shoddy and irritating practice.

61. Okay... I'll bite. What have they gotten wrong that other news outlets..
...haven't? If you're referring to the 20-some-odd indictments that RawStory reported on before Libby's indictment came down, that was reported by other outlets, including Newsweek. If you recall, Rove made a deal, albeit temporarily, right before the indictments were handed down, and that changed the number of indictments at the last minute.

Please, by all means, list all that RawStory's gotten wrong, because I've seen little-to-no instances of it.

Four U.S. soldiers were killed when their patrol struck a makeshift bomb northwest of Baghdad on Tuesday, the military said in a statement.

Shuffle Your Feet

Time won't save our souls
Time won't save our souls
Time won't save my soul...no

When everything is going down
nothing seem to feel same
no one seem to know my name
no one seem to go my way

but who knows if i'll see you again
but who knows if i'll see you again

One more for the soul-maded dreamers
One more for the wicked man
One more for the peaceful protest
That keeps the war in demand

Who knows if I'll see you again
Who knows if I'll see you again

Time won't save our souls
Time won't save my soul
Time won't save our souls
Time won't save my soul

I never thought I'd see it coming
I never thought I'd ever know
Nothing seems to take me over
Nothing seems to let me go

Who knows if I'll see you again
Who knows if I'll see you again

That's how I think of it, too--even with Fitz's integrity, carefulness, hard work, it all seems so slow, and day after day they are dying. Day after day, more blood on the hands of Bush/Cheney.

I hope Pigboy goes down very, very soon! Any seismic jolt to this rotten administration is always welcome.

21. Yes.
The White House pretending that Rove is calm, cool, confident and in control doesn't fit the picture, does it? I think that his opportunity to make a plea on some charges, in return for cooperating fully on Cheney's role, is going to be withdrawn. Fitzgerald isn't playing games.

34. I am hoping
that Steve Hadley is indicted, too. I appreciate that Rove is as obnoxious a public figure as Bush. He is the kid we all considered the class brown-nose in school. And he has played a significant role in using the war issues to promote his hero's political career, with no thought to those who suffer and die for his political pleasures. However, the war in Iraq and the potential for more regional conflict is rooted in the neoconservatives. Libby and Hadley, along with Dick Cheney, are more significant targets in that sense.

Rove being indicted will, of course, knee-cap the administration on a wide range of domestic policies.

Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 12:54 PM by KoKo01
in the last two weeks. What made him so confident? That's worrysome to me. Maybe Fitz will go after others Hadley and Rove has the word from Luskin. Maybe Rove fingered Hadley?

It's hard to believe his confidence isn't based on something?

He needs to go. He's the Big Boot that holds the media down and whips them when they start to peep out. Although the Corporists who own the Media maybe are just as bad and sadly, we aren't going to get rid of them...they will work against Fitz to support the hands that fed them.

Still..Rove out of the way would be a big opening for us here out on the "internets."

49. Looking Forward To It
Hadley was the arsehole who came out to talk Cindy into leaving Crawford last summer. He probably offered to do the dirty work he is very vile! There is much speculation about Hadley here in Italy as he was in on the meeting with the SIMSI.

I think Hadley ordered the hit on Nicola Calipari the guy "escorting" Segrena out of Iraq. I have always believed it was Calipari who was the target not the journalist.

65. Merry Fitzmas Binka!
Hope the boy is doing well! Here's something for the whole family I created just in time for the "Running of the Piss down the Leg" of the RovePig :)

Just for you Sweetie, and the lil one.. (PS I sent your other son a Whole Box of "Rove's War" films in case he hasn't let you know, hope that was okay..)

Here's the links, miss ya!

**********************

Decorate YOUR FITZMAS TREE - an Interactive Animation, my Best Yet!

MERRY FITZMAS! I wanted a Damn Fitzmas Tree ever since I heard the term invented RIGHT HERE, and NOW by god I have one, and you can too..

I have labored long and hard on this Interactive Animation (Flash - you may need the most recent flash plugin on your system - at least 6 I think, here's the Macromedia link for player/plugins: http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/#players ) - WHERE YOU can actually DECORATE YOUR OWN FITZMAS TREE, by dragging and dropping Ornaments and dropping them on the FITZMAS TREE - if an Ornament sticks to your "hand" it may be because of the slimy people encased within, just give it another mouse click on the tree to shake it off

There are two Flashes that interact with each other - one is the Fitzmas Tree itself, with a box FULL of decorations, the decorations being the Subjects of Indictments, Investigations, etc - something your Right Wing brother-in-law might be interested in knowing, lots of fun facts

If you click (click all over the page, lots of surprises on it) on the TITLE's of the Flashes you can go between the Tree itself, and another Flash that will load up with all the Decorations and an explanation of WHO they are, and WHAT they did.. for folks that don't know much about the Plame Outing they can get educated on the Ornaments and then click on back to the Tree and Decorate the Hell out of it

Here's two links, the first goes to the Fitzmas Tree itself, but like I said, you can click to the other Flash for more info, or a pal can get more info and Trim the Tree after.. Try this one First:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmas.swf

or you can check out the Ornaments (but maybe miss some surprises where the Presents are) at This Link:

http://www.tbtmradio.com/flash/merryfitzmasornaments.swf

In case you're wondering what that building is in the background, it's the HAGUE, I thought it rather appropriate - and the guys in ORANGE, well, I think you'll recognize them

So ENJOY if you will, and do me a favor, keep this KICKED Please - a labor of love, but no sleep for about Three days either.. Pass it around to anyone you think might be interested, but Please also come back here and Let me Know what YOU think of this work, I scrambled brains doing this

And don't forget to open the presents under the FITZMAS TREE, I wrapped them special just for YOU..

He hasn't been indicted. He may or may not ever be indicted. More people may or may not be indicted. To hold up this idea that there will be one day upon which all of the arseholes will be indicted is silly. It's not how the legal system works, and I don't understand why everyone is expecting it to work that way.

Another baseball analogy for Patrick Fitzgerald: My favorite player is Edgar Martinez of the Seattle Mariners. Edgar's retired now, but his ferocious work ethic, his superior conditioning, and his readjusting his stance and his swing kept him playing into his 40's.

I'm getting this GREAT mental picture of a prosecutor taking off his suit coat, rolling up his sleeves, stepping up to the plate and hitting it out of the park...

48. Fitzgerald was concerned that Rove had hidden or destroyed evidence
Fitzgerald was concerned that Rove had hidden or destroyed evidence, lawyers close to the case tell RAW STORY. His suspicions may have been right: an email he sent to then Deputy National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley in early July 2003 later proved Rove had spoken to Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper about Plame—a fact that Rove omitted when he was first interviewed by the FBI.

Whether Fitzgerald knew in late January or early February 2004 about the existence of the email Rove sent to Hadley remains unknown. The email did not show up during a search ordered by then-White House counsel Alberto Gonzales in 2003. Gonzales enjoined all White House staff to turn over any communication about Valerie Plame Wilson and her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, a vocal critic of the Iraq war who accused the Bush administration of twisting prewar Iraq intelligence. Gonzales’ request came 12 hours after senior White House officials had been told of the pending investigation.

Hadley did not respond to repeated requests to comment. Calls placed to the National Security Council were dropped by press office aides.

According to those familiar with the case and earlier reporting by RAW STORY, Fitzgerald had already obtained the cooperation of a key witness, former Deputy National Security Adviser for Vice President Dick Cheney, John Hannah. Hannah agreed to cooperate with Fitzgerald when the special prosecutor uncovered evidence tying Hannah to the leak and threatened to indict him, the sources said.

Hannah gave Fitzgerald the names of some White House officials who knew about Plame Wilson and disseminated her CIA status to reporters and other White House officials, the laywers said. One of the officials Hannah appears to have implicated was Rove, they added. Cheney promoted Hannah to be his assistant national security adviser following Libby’s indictment.

51. UPDATE
Fitzgerald still looking to indict Rove

Short of a last minute intervention by Rove’s attorney, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald is expected to ask a grand jury investigating the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson to indict Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove for making false statements to the FBI and Justice Department investigators in October 2003, lawyers close to the case say.

55. Great
Now he can turn his attention to others involved and keep the indictments rolling (I know, hopeful thinking).

57. Another gem from Raw Story
As of Monday, neither Rove nor his attorney Robert Luskin has explained Rove’s misstatements to Fitzgerald’s satisfaction, those familiar with the case said. Eleventh-hour testimony from Time Magazine reporter Viveca Novak—who Rove’s attorney Robert Luskin fingered as a crucial witness in keeping his client out of court—does not appear to have been helpful in dodging an indictment, they added.

60. I'm predicting a Rove indictment AND
a continuation of the investigation. I also predict that at some point in 2006, all investigations will peak - Fitzy's, Abramoff, Delay, Frist, fallout from the Dukester. Voters will be trampling each other to vote Democratic in November.
