Now I'm not overly religious but to this day, I will swear on a stack of bibles that I saw a face that could be interpreted as Satan's face.
In the late 70's, I was visiting friends and they had just bought Leonard Skynard's latest album, Street Survivors. Many of you may remember, that album was released just 3 days before the plane crash that killed or maimed many members of that band.
My friends album was the original Street Survivor's album cover that was released. After the crash, the record company pulled the original cover for reasons you will understand in a minute.
After I arrived at my friends home and we chatted for a while, they pulled this album cover out of their collection and set it across the room facing me. They asked me to look at it and see if I saw anything weird about it. The original cover showed the band standing on the stage of an old theater and looking into a huge mirror that covered the entire length of the stage. The picture was taken of their reflection in the mirror. Fire was added to the picture as well and some say the album was pulled because the flames of the fire actually touched those who were killed in the plane crash.
Here's a photo of the original album cover:
Anyway, back to my friends asking if I saw anything weird in the album. I studied it for several minutes, up close, and didn't see anything odd about it. The conversation in the room had changed to another subject so I just quietly put the album down on the floor beside me and rejoined my friends. But they were persistent and asked me again to look at the album cover. They took it and set it back across the room facing towards me and asked me to look at it again. Like a light was switched on, I suddenly saw a face on the album cover jump out at me and it almost had a glow to it. If I were to guess whose face it was, I would describe it as what one would think Satan looked like. I kid you not. It was the freakiest thing I've ever seen in my life and still get the heebie jeebies when I think about it.
This is the updated album cover that came out after the crash:
