Rumsfeld to Leave....Lieberman to Take His Place?
Daily News:

White House officials are telling associates they expect Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to quit early next year.......

Rumsfeld's deputy, Gordon England, is the inside contender.....but there is also speculation that Sen. Joe Lieberman........might become the top guy at the Pentagon.

..........some Democrats have speculated that Senator Lieberman may already be lobbying for the job.

Boy, would that explain a lot of what's been going on. (louis c)

1. Kind of odd
Not sure exactly how to take this news. It would of course be great to have a Democrat in such a high post, something that is not prevelant at all with this administration, but I don't know how Liberman would do. Obviously Rumsfield is an errant ass and so old he pisses beer brewed by the origional Samuel Adams, and he really needs to go, the sooner the better. Liberman's a great senator and spokesman for our party, but I'd think a more blunt and powerful Democrat would be better suited. I don't know why, but I just don't see Liberman in a post like that. I can see him as a vice president and he makes a great senator, but Sec. of Defense? kinda strange. He seems more suited for policy than military.

Upon pondering this........Oh what the hell go for it Liberman! and get us the hell out of Iraq quicker!!

3. LIEberman
will fit right in with the Rpukes.

He's a Democrat in name only.

And if he goes to the Bush administration, maybe we can get a real Democrat as a Senator from Connecticut.

4. If he joins the admin., then it's REALLY time to kick him out.
No more of this crap. We cannot allow them to claim bipartisan support because one DINO supports them. OUT OUT OUT!
