Poll question: Do they really dare Diebold 2006?
There is currently a MASSIVE push to roll out new voting machines for the 2006 election. Even Western PA and Upstate New York are giving up their beloved mechanical lever machines in favor of touchscreens. Seems no one can Just Say No to that HAVA money.

At the same time, the news could not be worse for the Republican party. Scandal is everywhere and Bush's Iraq is becoming the most hated conflict in American history.

So here's the question:

Do they really dare Diebold the 2006 midterms?

1. Of course they would and thats why every state is in important.
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 09:18 PM by DanCa
Even if your Democratic governor is a "dud" he or she plays an important link in the overall picture. That is why it is cruicial to vote dem in 2006 regardless of your personal feelings toward the candidate. That's the only way we'll be Diebold free. in 2008.

3. you see what they did with the ohio referendums?
pre polling showed many passing with over 60+% but when the machines finished counting they went down by 60+%. 40 point discrepancy in some cases.

noone did anything. the future of voting is total repuke corruption.

10. Exactly but I believe that the repug slime machine
would be too disorganized in a state race to be as effective as it was last time. I mean each state would be on thier own and those running the show will be to disorientated to be able to effectively steal every state. At least thats what I am hoping for. We have to grab every state possible wether we personally like a candidate or not.

2. Of course they do!! The NeoCons know no bounds, and they're....
...beginning to believe that they will be in major, major trouble if they lose the elections in 2006.

6. But this one would be soooo obvious....
I could see a wild card "terra attack" and all the presstitutes screaming "all bets are off, this one is up for grabs" and THEN a theft.... But I just can't believe they would prove us right with an outright, broad daylight theft.

8. Yes, they are going to try to steal the elections again, in more ways than
one. I wouldn't be surprised if thugs with clubs attack black people at polling booths next year.

11. Remember they can roll out the red carpet for **everyone**
now that it does not matter which button the people push. They can pre-program the percentages by which they want their candidates to win and be as nice as you please to **all** voters. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along, now.

13. OF COURSE They Will Diebold Everything They Can in 2006 and Beyond!
If they lose Congress in 2006 Bush & Cheney get impeached.
They will Diebold again. They may also kill more of our candidates
(NO SMALL AIRPLANES, PLEASE!!), and they may even MIHOP again.

It will become really obvious to everyone that they're stealing it,
but why would that stop them?

14. I say no because, repukes have assumed that no one would dare..
ever investigate their wrongdoings because of their control of the government. But they ARE being investigated. There are still people in law enforcement who care about right and wrong. They need to watch their Ps and Qs very carefully.

15. Think of it like Vegas slots. No one would play the silly things...
if they didn't pay out once in a while.

Perhaps they give us a break, and then use the Democratic comeback in 2006 to disprove election theft for the next 20+ years.

21. No comparison
Slot machines are rigged too, but if you sit there long enough, you'll eventually win.

'06 is the big payoff. No more pesky "exit-polls"..their media lackeys have seen to it that the public no longer "trusts" them or expects them..
The media can always be relied upon to relay bogus opinion polling, with little or no investigation..

their media lapdogs have somehow convinced lots of people that a 30-35 % constituency is a majority with a mandate

Three consecutive elections have shown them that the majority of the public will take it in the shorts and say "thank you, sir"..

Why wouldn't they use their vapor voters?

19. They HAVE to steal it again or ALL their asses will be in jail
because the Dems will investigate and find how corrupt they are. They must steal it or they're finished for good. The Dems could also expose the evoting machine frauds.

20. Why didn't they Diebold '05?
They could easily have given the Virginia and New Jersey Governor's races to Kilgore and Forrester, since the polls were close (although thankfully both candidates won with margains that many here consider "Diebold proof" but if the polls are close then Diebold theoretically can tamper.)

22. 2 governors isn't really a big enough loss to stress the pukes....
...especially when one's a DLC'er. This in fact gives them a propaganda talking point, as I believe Virginia was one of the states with significant new deployment of Diebold machines this year. So now they can say "See, we used Diebold in Virginia and your guy won. What fraud??" And the Whore Media won't even acknowledge the story in 2006, claiming that the 2005 election settled the issue.

It's actually a brilliant strategy, in a machivellian fascist sort of way.

24. Kaine's a DLCer?
That's new to me. While I don't agree with him on abortion, he has promised to enforce it as how it stands, and he is very progressive on most issues. Same goes for Corzine.

26. They did in Ohio, where a failure could have brought measures to
change the election system. I feel they allowed a couple of off election year victories to take the heat off.

As long as the MSM chooses to ignore it, they'll keep doing it. Have you seen any mention of the GAO's report in the MSM?
