They had better kill Saddam or move him out of Iraq
If he is put in prison there, after the US leaves, there is a good chance the Iraqii's will put him back in power, just for spite. Can you imagine it?

1. i thinks it's be more akin
to what happened to mussolini. No way he gets back in power even for spite. Instead I think we'll have a baby Iran now.

There is about the same chance as the Iraqis "will put him back in power" as the DLC drafting him for the 2008 presidential ticket.

And how will he be put into power? Iraq has a parliamentary system now, not a presidential one - that means he'd have to have a political party and win lots of seats.
